  1. My wife got me a nice one from C5 Leather a couple of years back. It really does make a world of difference.
  2. I've got an Aimpoint Comp M3 and an Eotech XPS 2-0. The Aimpoint does seem likes it's a little more heavy duty build quality and the battery life can't be beat. The Eotech's reticle is great for quick acquistion. I'd trust either one but if I could only have one I'd probably have to choose the Aimpoint.
  3. Glad he's making it right. I definitely prefer that the whole trigger is covered in my holsters.
  4. Palmetto State has them for $1799 with free shipping right now. Would be $1829 out the door after transfer and background. Bill's Outpost had a couple in stock and I'd rather buy from them, but they were at $1899.
  5. Thanks guys, I like the Colt but it's currently running about $1k more on Gunbroker and I haven't seen one locally or at Bud's. Also the interchangeability wouldn't be a big deal to me. Like atlas3025, I'd just end up with another lower.
  6. I mixed some cream cheese with a barbecue dry rub and stuffed them with that. Cooked the bacon about halfway on the stove then wrapped and secured with a toothpick. On the grill at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Mmm mmm good.
  7. Anyone have one or have experience with one? I've been wanting an AR style .308 for a while and this one looks pretty solid. I trust the brand and I like that it takes the Magpul mags. Someone talk me into or out of it... http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/sig716-patrol-rifle.aspx
  8. Hey David, I missed the Knoxville show this weekend due to National Guard duty. Will you be in the area again any time soon? I'd be interested in one of the 8 pound jugs of 846.
  9. But you won't have to load it as often. Wish they'd introduce a Single Nine in 17hmr.
  10. I'd look for a good condition used AR-style rifle in .308.
  11. Sounds great! I grew habaneros this year for the first time and have really enjoyed them. I tried stuffed, bacon wrapped habaneros on the grill last weekend and absolutely loved them. Like stuffed jalapenos x10.
  12. Very cool Steve! Can't wait to see it.
  13. I ran into a guy at ORSA a couple of weeks back that was shooting a PMR 30. He let me handle it and offered to let me shoot it. For $299 I'd jump all over one. For $800 I'll stick with my FiveSeven.
  14. Check with Chip Cain on the trust. It's a lot less than $600.
  15. Not sure what you mean. Does he have a contrary opinion on rapists being killed?
  16. All I've gotten from reading most of this thread is that the people who believe in gay marriage will not be swayed in their opinion and the people who don't believe in gay marriage will not be swayed in their opinion. Is everyone talking just to hear themselves talk or do you really believe you're going to change someone else's mind on a topic this polarizing?
  17. Interesting article. I like Matthew Bracken in general. His "Enemies" trilogy is a good read.
  18. Not quite the story you hear every day...
  19. How about we drop the phrase "just testing the waters"? What the hell does that even mean? Your gun is either for sale or it isn't.
  20. Yep, love the Aroma Cafe. It's only a few minutes from the office so we hit it up fairly regularly.
  21. Yes, hope this doesn't inconvenience you too much.
  22. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Keep beating her, she can take it!
  23. But Glocks drop in value 25-30% as soon as you shoot them unless you're selling one instead of trying to buy one, right??
  24. Predator and Bill's Outpost are my two favorites in the area. Predator build a great black rifle and Bill's has a really good selection of them in stock.
  25. Can you provide some more details? What is your budget? What are you going to use the knife for?
