1.
Appearantly there was a huge deal on ammo at Dicks sportinggoods that went unadvertised.
They had their annual "Buy one get one half price" sale on ammo. Was there something else?
  2.
So how is this show? Was thinking about heading up in the morning and see If I can find anything I may need.
I walked in at opening time, went to see David, bought some reloading supplies at great prices, then left. There was a decent line to get it but it didn't seem too crowded inside.
  3.
Here is the official trailer:
Needs more Swayze.
  4.
Most of these people are die hard GM drivers. With out him , there would be no more GM.
Without Obama there would still have been a GM, they just would have gone through a normal bankruptcy like other companies. All Obama saved was the auto union, which ironically is what killed the US auto industry in the first place.
  5.
The North Koreans. Orginally supposed to be the Chinese but the Studio did not want to offend the Chinese so they changed in the the North Koreans.
Probably because the Chinese owned the studio...
  6. I'm not aware of anything else in your price range that will sit lower. The Blur is not an intimidating looking knife by it's nature although it does have a crisp opening snap with the spring assist. I do think the satin blade may look a little less "scary" to the sheep. I also like the S30V steel on the satin blade over the Sandvik steel on the black blade.
  7.
Thanks alot,I check out some infor on the sparrow. They were testing it with a P-22 and a 10-22 .I have both so this could be the way to go , said that it was the most easest one on the market to clean. The msrp was $499 ,is that the prices at the gun stores, also so that you could shot 22 mag, have one but not threaded Again Thanks How long have you been waiting if you don't mine
Got my Sparrow for $399. Still waiting on the paperwork but got it through Mike at TN Law Enforcement Sales. He is a member and vendor here and a nice guy to boot.
  8. I'm liking the toxic green also. Great looking knives!
  9. From the criteria you describe I'd recommend the Kershaw Blur. I carried one daily for over a year and have nothing but praise for it. If you can handle a satin blade Amazon has one with S30V steel for about the same price. 10. That's looking great! Can't wait to hear how it shoots.
  11.
No worries...I was just trying to make a joke; apparently it wasn't a very good one.
Sorry Robert, wasn't trying to be confrontational. I'm just easily confused
  12.
So...I guess it follows, then, that if your state law doesn't allow you to hunt with a semi-automatic rifle you shouldn't be allowed to own one either. I wonder if they have similar restrictions against semi-auto shotguns???
I'm sorry Robert, I'm not following you. The guy says in the same paragraph that he's sold more assault weapons (yes, I know...) than hunting rifles recently. It was a different manager at a different store who said he didn't sell them. I didn't comment on him because I agree that his stance is idiotic.
  13.
Granted, laws vary state to state, but a blanket statement like this is irresponsible or due to ignorance. http://www.ydr.com/p...k-county-nation Still, stores like Layman's Gun Shop in Lower Windsor Township are feeling people's anxiety. Manager Tony Chalfant said he's sold more assault weapons and personal protection guns than hunting guns in recent months. "That has changed over the years," he said. "Everybody views an assault weapon as something different. An example would be AR-15 style is a semi-automatic. You can't hunt with one."
A quick Google search validated that you can't hunt with a semi automatic rifle in Pennsylvania, which is where this story originated.
  14. Great story and great knife. Looks like it's in fantastic shape for it's age too. Congrats!
  15. I've been out of town for the last week. What'd I miss???
  16. I think you win thread title of the year with this one.
  17.
Here's a news flash that I would REALLY like to see some attention paid: There are a ton of moderate and left-leaning dems that are pro 2A. The NRA is such a right-wing institution that these folks avoid it like the plague. Sites like TGO have so many loudmouth conservative spouting downright hateful speech about dems that you'll rarely have the opportunity to have a discussion about protecting 2A with people who actually have the ability to sway other moderate dems. For now we still have the freedom to choose. If the NRA is too right wing, don't join it. Simple. Loudmouth conservatives spouting "hateful speech", block them so you don't get offended. 2A is NOT the property of conservatives and yet that is EXACTLY how many republicans act. The thing is, I don't think many conservatives really care about PROTECTING 2A as much as COMPLAINING about liberals. Yes, because complaining is definitely reserved for the conservatives. Are you the pot or the kettle in this scenario? I make it a point to have one positive discussion per day with an open minded democrat. We don't often see eye-to-eye when the conversation is over but I know they leave with a little bit more knowledge than they started with. What I DON'T do is belittle them about their political affiliation and speak of their alleged inferiority. (if your response is that you don't know any open-minded dems, please don't bother responding at all. You're part of the problem but too stupid to realize it) I don't seek people out for conversation based on their political leanings. I'll talk to anyone, I'm open minded I'm tiring of firearm enthusiast websites who's front page of recent posts are over 50% political whining without some objective thinking. See Mav's post. What the hell are you expecting the week of the election? Why not turn off your computer for a few days if the political posts are bothering you? I want to be a part of this community but my patience is wearing thin with a lot of you. I'm hear to learn and share experiences but my willingness to be a positive participant at TGO is almost gone. If you think there's a better firearms community on the web I encourage you to find it. Also, in a later post in this thread you criticize the "hive mind" around here. Would you levy the same criticism on a gay/lesbian website that was overwhelmingly Democratic? While no one is questioning that there are pro-2A liberals there are many more pro-2A conservatives.
18.
As a buyer in a TN to TN transaction adding 9% State Sales Tax the prices are about the same as Optics Planets everyday prices. I'll see if I can steer some out of State business that way. Makes it more attractive. I like Maxpedition Gear. I have a Sitka and a Jumbo Versipack. Good stuff.
I'm a little confused. Howe's is in Michigan. I've bought from them a couple of times and have never been charged sales tax.

    A$$ WIPE !!!
Poor Tacoma, I would have a hard time restraining myself if i found out someone hit me and didn't have insurance. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
He lied to the police at the scene and produced a fake/invalid insurance card. I would have been much more pissed had I known at the time.

    A$$ WIPE !!!

This was my three month old truck after I was hit by an uninsured driver. I was sitting at a red light when this douchebag slammed in to me going 45 mph. Brand new truck totaled. 21. As a little clearer explanation, the price that shows on the website is 10% off. When you add it to your cart it takes an additional 25% off.
  22. Howe's Knife Shop is closing out all of their Maxpedition stuff. 35% off MSRP plus free shipping. Support small business!! http://www.howesknifeshop.com/maxpedition-hard-use-gear/
  23. I'm not particularly worried about a bunch of twitterers rioting in East TN. That would be a short-lived and painful endeavor for any angst filled wanna-be gangsters.
  24.
So anything special at the show today?
I walked up at 0945 and there was no line at all. Did a quick walkthrough, ran into Dolomite and Sour Kraut, said hi to David and got to meet Eray. Picked up a couple of things from Eray. His prices were fantastic. Other than that I found absolutely nothing at the show that I needed. There was a line to get in when I left, probably 75 people deep. I'm really surprised at the lack of crowd today. I guess everyone else is more confident of a Romney win on Tuesday than I am...
  25.
spanking is hiting. And most of you believe in it because you were hit or spanked. You are hitting someone who has a brain that is not yet developed fully and it doesn't until about age 20 or so.
So discipline shouldn't be enforced on anyone until they're 20 or so? That may be the most asinine thing I've ever read.
