  1. +1 on the Ruger Mk
  2. Welcome!
  3. Well the wrench is metal but it's not for the barrel bushing. The GSG 1911 comes with a threaded barrel and the wrench is for removing the thread protector from the end of the barrel. I have had no problem removing the barrel bushing on mine by hand.
  4. Welcome to TGO! Check out the Ruger Mark lll for a nice target .22 and the Walther PK 380 is a very nice .380.
  5. There are a couple of things I learned about the GSG 1911 over the net that are not in the manual. First there is a hex head screw that has to be removed before the slide can be removed from the frame. Second, the recoil spring is tapered and the wider end goes in the plug. Hope I can get out today and put some rounds thru it.
  6. [/img][/img][/img][/img][/img] Here are some pictures of the new toy. I hope they post ok. Sorry I can't get them to down load. Please remove this post.
  7. I talked to Phil at Bellshire and will pick mine up tomorrow. Has anyone found a place to pick up spare mags?
  8. Welcome Mac, and thanks for your service.
  9. I would like to take a look at one.
  10. I've owned a Walther PPK/S, a Colt Mustang +II, a Bersa 380 and a Walther PK 380 the only one I still have is the PK 380. It's a fun gun to shoot and fits my hand better then the others. Also its almost a twin to the Walther P22 I have, so most of my range time is with the P22 and cheap .22 LR ammo.

    Chiappa 1911-22

I just put a set of stock grips off of a RIA Tactical on my Chiappa Puma 1911-22 and they went on just fine. Hope that helps.

    "Good" Entry 1911

    +1 For the RIA
  14. +1 on that!
  15. Welcome!
  16. +1 on the LCR
  17. It's a bakery also, they make great bread. I see you like the .380's have you tried the new Walther PK 380? My first 380 was a Colt Mustang plus II, next a Bersa. I traded the Bersa for a Walther PPK/S. Bought the PK 380 in Feb. and traded the PPk/S for a Rock Island 1911 Tactical .45. The Mustang was traded for a Smith & Wesson 386 Sc/S 38/357 a few years ago. I think the Pk 380 is going to be the keeper it a good combo with my Walther P22. Also had a Ruger LCP that I didn't care to much for so I sold it and picked up a Ruger LCR. I guess I'm old school when it comes to a carry piece and would rather have a wheel gun then a auto.

  20. I was up in Greene County last year. We went to the Iris Fest with a good friend that lives in Bean Station. Nice part of the State. The only Stone Cave I know of is about 2 miles out of town on rt 28. I have only been in Dunlap a little over 4yrs. Wish I could of moved here sooner. I have done some biking, but mine was on a Harley.
