  1. +1 this is the way I would go, a used Mossberg 500 cruiser pump 18.5" barrel with stock or pistol grip for HD and a nice O/U for clays. Stoeger O/U Condor for around $340 or the Supreme for $480 new on GB. Good luck
  2. Welcome, come down and visit Dunlap in the Sequatchie Valley.
  3. welcome
  4. VQ mark III trigger kit + mark II bushing and a Bushnell TRS-25 mini red dot. This web site is a big help detailstrip
  5. QUOTE=Caster;845899]Cheaper....eehhhh. Cry now, or cry later. Buy a GOOD mount for the Nikon now. That'll be significantly less than the magnifier. Put the Eotech in the safe. Save for the magnifier. The eotech, even on aging eyes, would be better for that elusive zombie hoard that looms like a shadow over us all:) Seriously. I learned the hard way. There's a reason cheap crap is cheap and good stuff ain't. It's not snobbery to refuse to accept the substandard or even mediocrity. The Ruger SR556 deserves something quality and you won't come back later cussing Caster for bad advice when you do buy top shelf stuff. Once it's paid for, it's paid for. Give it a few weeks and you'll never miss the money spent. What he said:up:
  6. I need some feedback on a Rossi R92 in .38/357. Anyone had any problems with them?
  7. Some may agree that she should have done her homework on NY gun laws. But I don't think anyone here on TGO agrees with anything Bloomberg has to say.
  8. +1 on the LCR. I like mine.
  9. That listing on GB is from Cocoa in Fl. Anyone want to guess where KT is located? I want one, but not that bad. I can wait until the rush is over.
  10. I bought mine new in 2005 for around $275, now you can't find one new for under $350. Sounds like KT did something right with the Sub 2000.
  11. I sent Kel Tec a email about the KSG shotgun and if or when they will be released. Here is a copy of their reply. If you think the Ruger SR1911 is hard to find, have fun trying to get one of these. We got the first of the KSGs out last week, but mostly it’ll be after the first of the year before we’re really able to get them out there. There’s already a backorder on them, so I’m sure the first ones going out are probably already claimed, but be patient and we’ll have more out the middle of Jan. Unfortunately, we only sell only to the wholesalers, then they to the dealers, so I don’t have any dealer listings. I can only suggest online or the phonebook and calling them to find out if they carry or can order what you’re looking for. **We will be closing for the holidays from 12/24-1/8, therefore any emails received in that time frame will not be answered and any repairs received at that time will be held at the shipping depot until we return, so you might want to hold off shipping it until the 9th unless you can get it here before the 23rd. Repairs will be about 6 weeks after we’re back. I apologize for the inconvenience.** Thanks, Ericka Kel-Tec CNC Attn: Service P.O. Box 236009 Cocoa FL, 32923 321-631-0068

    RUGER SR 1911

On GB it looks like they are going for $799 and up. If you are lucky you can find one in the low $700's. I found a used one (like new) for $675 buy it now on GB back in July. They are still hard to find, only saw 2 on GB today.[/img]
  13. Welcome, I'm also from the Peoples Republic of Illinois.

  15. +1 on both of these sites and MKII bushing and Volquartsen trigger kit mod.
  16. Try this site for grips, not sure they do left handed. Altamont - Pistol Grips - Altamont - Pistol Grips[/img]
  17. I would go with the Russian for resale value. Also, the Yugo's are nice too.
  18. I put a Bushnell Trophy 1x32 red/green t-dot on mine and it works good for me. Bushnell part #73-0132p Let me know how that tel-tec quad rail works out for you. I did a mod of my own on the stock hand guard to mount the scope, it works fine. But that set up you have looks nice and if it holds zero I would pick one up for mine
  19. Best bang for the $$$. That's why you can't find them. There sold before they get to the shop. I got lucky and found mine on GB at a good price.
  20. +1:up:
  21. That's what I get from the paperwork I have. My papers also have the price and the shipping cost!!!!!!!!!! $12.50 for the gun & $4.50 to ship it!
  22. Try here Home of The Ithaca Gun Company
  23. It was made in 1943 and arsenal reconditioned in Augusta, Ga at the Augusta Arsenal, but I have no idea when. All parts with markings show them to be true to the 1943 time frame. Very nice for being 68 years old. Also it is a double mark, the slide is also marked M 1911A1 US ARMY as well as the frame. Paperwork shows it being taken out of service in 1962.
  24. :)I carried a Ithaca 1911 in Vietnam back in 1967. This one found a home with me this week. [/img][/img]
