  1. If people could just buy ammo they need when they need it there would be no need for any of this.
  2. I don't know what his suppliers are charging him or how much he has to charge to keep his store open. I've been picking up ammo ever since this BS started and I've never paid anywhere near scalper rates. If I see it at WM I buy it, if I see it at Cabelas I order it. I have never paid over $30 a brick for 22's and that is shipped. So for you to say I should have to pay $70 a brick because that's the going price  the scalpers are getting is nothing but :bs:
  3. As long as his gun prices are within reason I will give him a look see the next time in the area. The "No Loaded Firearms" sign would not keep me away from his shop if his prices are good on firearms and FFL transfers. But as far as selling 22 ammo at $70 a brick I don't think that is going to help him get people into his store. If his suppliers are that high then he would be better off not selling it. Look what that price has done to his reputation on this forum. Thanks for posting your thoughts on the new gun shop. I too would like to see more LGShops in our area.
  4. Thanks for the come back and for your service. Like I said I run a 512  an other then the battery life I've not had any problems and AA batteries are easy to find. But then again I don't use it on a daily basis with my life on the line.
  5. Don't drive if you've been drinking!
  6. Right on Spots, CTD has stuck it to their consumer base every chance they get. I wouldn't walk across the street to get anything from them if they were giving it away! CTD $299.99 / 1000 for Tula .223 marked down from $900 / 1000. I would rather stand in line at Walmart and buy 3 boxes at a time $5.27 / 20 Tula .223 then deal with CTD. As far as the OP more power to him if he's happy with his buy.
  7. My better half and my youngest daughter both chose the Bersa Thunder .380. They both shot my Glocks and my 1911s but the one they wanted for their own was the Bersa. I don't know about taste but I think it has to do with the fit of the grips and the ease of racking the action.
  8. At even higher prices! You don't think the manufactures haven't raised their prices since this panic buying started? I'm sure Winchester, Remington, & Federal are crying all the way to the bank over the ammo shortage. They will run 24/7 with what they have until they catch up. But I don't see them expanding their production lines over this "shortage" So what is your excuse for the retailer's prices in the OP? Is he just trying to keep the 22's out of the Scalpers hands and therefore helping all of us out? :2cents:
  9. Lets see if I have this right. You want the retailers and manufactures to gouge the buyers so the scalpers can't???????????WTF :surrender: I would rather not get gouged at all.
  10. Might want to tell them how you found out about them on TGO and how well they are being received by the local shooters. :puke:
  11. What bad reviews have you read? Please post the links, I run a Eotech 512 on my AR an never had a problem. But if there is something I should be aware of I'd like to know about it. Thanks
  12. I'm old school, I like wood also.
  13. What he says, I'm in for one.
  14. Comparing Natalie to a Hooker is just not right! Hookers have more class.
  15.  As far as Natalie goes I put her right up there with Hanoi Jane. I have no use for either.
  16. I agree. I have a gen 3 19 and a gen 3 26 along with a LCR in 38spl. I switch off between the 26 & the LCR as my carry guns. I would say the OP's trade was a good one as far as being fair both ways. :2cents:
  17. Local WM had .45 & .40 still on the shelf since the weekend, WWB/100. Also all types of rifle hunting loads & shot gun 12 & 20 ga.
  18. Thanks for the input I went with the Rock River Coyote with a 20'' heavy barrel.
  19. I need some feedback. Does anyone have either of these ? I need some pros & cons. Not looking to build my own, I like the AR platform, 20in bull barrel .223/5.56  cal. I'm leaning to the RRA but the MMR is priced right.
  20. I bet he was sporting it on his right shoulder. I've always referred to it as a "Girl Scout Cookie". But its real name is the Octofoil  also called The Psychedelic Cookie and The Flaming A**holes. Good read about the 9th Division came out this year "The Boys of '67" by Andrew Wiest, if you like ancient history. :)
  21. Well that may be legal for cracking skulls, but you can't play baseball with it!
  22. I believe we now have this thread mowing in a more believable direction. :yum: I feel my work here is complete: Beam me up Scotty, There's no intelligent life down here!
  23. Glad to see your up to speed, Robert. This threads been moving pretty fast this morning.  :woohoo:
  24. Your not trying to hijack this hijacked thread are you?     I've had mine since 1969
