  1. I heard about Benton"s and their over-priced ammo, never been there and don't plan on going there.
  2. Great service! I always write stuff like that down so I won't forget it. Now if I can remember where it put the paper...........................
  3. This  Good advise, been there, done that, a couple times.   Hope things work out for the best.
  4. That would be sweet deal, but I won't hold my breath. When did you ever hear of the gov't looking to save money?

    Kel-Tec RDB

I agree with Caster, I will not play Kel-Tec's game any more. They come out with some guns I would like to have, but what good are they if you can't get one? Unless you want to pay 3x the msrp.   Good luck to all looking to get one.
  6. Don't forget to add in all the scalpers with ads on the internet. There are 10 pages of .22 cal. ammo for sale on just Gun Broker. When I say "scalpers" I don't just mean the Walmart group. If you check out these ads, many are from gun shops that would rather sell out the back door at scalper prices then put it on their shelves and compete with Walmart. Just my :2cents:
  7. Gander got it's start in Wilmont Wisc. just a little warehouse that sold reloading supplies and shooter/hunters gear. I guess they think they something special now.
  8. Gander Mt. needs to get back to their roots. Their fancy stores and high prices are no bargain anymore. Don't judge prices by what they charge. :2cents:
  9. I want the carbine in  9mm. I like the way the barrel can be removed and it uses Glock mags. It's on my short list to replace the sub 2k I sold. Gun Broker has the best prices, that I have found so far.
  10. Ruger Commander Talo if you don't like the stainless look.
  11. No problem posting who has 22LR & prices, If you need it bad enough and your close, it's a good thing to know. Just saying there is no good reason for the shortage other then greed.   No upset stomach here.
  12. Agree!   And no matter how much you try to beat this horse to death, it just keeps coming back.
  13. That's the problem, people are willing to pay .10 or more a round. As long as they do, other people will buy up as much  .22LR  as they can and sell it to them and double their money. What doesn't get resold gets hoarded. Nothing new here, it's been going on for over 2 years all over the country. Plus you had people caught flat footed when this all started and they went from 1 brick of .22's in their safe too 20 or more bricks, so they won't be caught short again. Just my :2cents:
  14. Put a Volquartsen trigger kit on that 22/45. I have been looking at those also, looks like a fun range toy. I love my MKIII
  15. If you like the Tennessee drivers go to South Florida and try your luck!
  16. I've heard this season is going to differ from the books. Some characters will die on TV that still are alive in the books. Books 4&5 started out as one book and then got out hand and were made into 2 books. I agree with you about the story slowing down. I'm not that optimistic that HBO doesn't screw things up.
  17. I had a chance to shoot a Accuracy International last summer. I have been around a long time and I've never shot anything like it. It took a week to get the smile off my face. I agree with 173rdABN, If I had the money AI would be the one I would get.
  18. You must of been their around the same time I was or you were in the USMC. They took away our M-14's just before we shipped and gave us M-16's. I was there Army, Dec. 1966 thru Dec. 1967. The USMC kept the M-14 longer then the Army.
