  1. I just got both on Kindle. Thanks for the tip. Congrats!
  2. I' m with Mike, 20 years younger!
  3.   I just found the donuts after looking for 10 minutes, now you want me to find a mouse?
  4. More like 75 years. "Never has any trouble to make the news". Yea, right.    Maybe its changed since I was there 25 years ago.   I didn't mean to get anyone rattled by posting the website about the different types of biker clubs and what it takes to start one. I just wanted to give anyone, here on TGO a little information about the mind set of some of the guys that belong to these hard core clubs (gangs). I never belonged to any of them, but I was around them for 40 years. I learned about how you had to play their games when some friends and I wanted to start a biker club to honor Vietnam POW/MIA's in Florida. All we wanted to do is be left alone, and ride for all the Brothers we left behind in Vietnam.  But if your going to put a "rocker" on the back of your vest showing who you are, then you have to play by their rules. Once we told them what we were all about, and showed them that we respected their rules, we had no problems with any of the MCs in the area.   Oh, to get back to the OP. The guy who thought he would let all those gangs sit down, have a Sunday lunch and play nice together in his restaurant is a money hungry IDIOT. If he didn't think there would be trouble, why were the police in the parking lot?
  5. This site may help some understand  http://www.rcvsmc.net/id16.html I learned some of this the hard way.
  6. I'm a lifetime member of Hog, and never joined a chapter, I went to a few HR and your right, no Twin Peaks. Still you have the "Wantabes" that think there something their not. Now "Sturgis" on the other hand, is a different ball game.  Been there , done that!
  7. $5 a box of 50 is .10 /per round and OK by you. But $40 for a brick of 500 .08/per round is scalping? As far as I see it they are both scalping.
  8. MrsMM2500   Hog Rally's are pretty tame, not too many MC types go to them. But your right "you never know". Good luck on your HCP Class.
  9. The more I read about all the wire taps, the more I think the Feds may have screwed up this case. . Or he rolled over on some "bigger fish". Or his being in politics, he used his "get out if jail  free card". They do take care of their own, no matter how "nuts" they may be. Just my :2cents:     P.S.  I live very close to Signal Mtn. in Sequatchie county, and just now found out about this. So I don't think it made the local news either, or I missed it.
  10.   Doggart Received 9,200 Votes in the 2014 Congressional Election. Not that many, but still a scary thought.        “Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.” ― George Carlin
  11. All big box stores have high prices on their guns and ammo. I have never bought a gun from any of them. There overhead is just to high, but it's a good place to go if something new just came out and you want to see what it looks like, first hand, or you catch one of their come-on sales.   Good place to go and kill some time if you go to Cosco. We will see what happens to their prices when Bass Pro moves in across the interstate from them. It's nice to see the big outdoor stores getting closer to Chattanooga, sure beats driving up to Nashville or Knoxville.
  12. It will never stop until people stop paying .10-.12-.15 cents a round from the scalpers. And by scalpers I don't just mean the early morning Walmart crowd. People have to quit buying high priced .22 just because they see it sitting on a self and feel, "they better get it before somebody else does". The salesman at Cabelas, in Ringgold on Tue. said they had over 3 pallets of it in the back warehouse. Only bringing it out a case at a time and selling it 1 brick per customer. They had Fed. Rem.  CCI and a couple other brands, 50/box up to 500/brick. 325 Federal Automatch $18.99 / brick. CCI was higher per round and they had 100/packs and 50/boxes of different types. Even had some sub-sonic. I bought a brick of Automatch for a friend, I didn't need any for my self.
  13. Some people just have nothing better to do then try and run you're life. Sad part is we elect them and put them in a position where they can do it!
  14. DMARK gets it. For some of us you can feel the History in these "old war horses". I wouldn't trade my 1943 Ithaca M1911A1 for any of the new 1911's on the market today. Its some thing I can't explain. I guess that's why some like to collect old guns and some like to have the newest model out. I'm lucky to do both.
  15. I went there today, nice store, prices are lower then Gander. They have 22lr Fed. Automatch 325per at $18.99 limit of 1 box per. and CCI, Rem and a couple others. They have a system set up so you can buy hand guns there in Ga. and have them sent to a couple locations in the Chattanooga area for a flat transfer fee of $25.00. + $10.00 background check. Worth a look if your close or going to Cosco.
  16. Welcome to TGO    I got out of " The Peoples Republic of Illinois" about 20 years ago.
  17. Thanks for the update, but CNN should not be confused with being "the news". Notice how all the so called news stations have to bring the TM case into the story so they can bring all that crap up again? I have no use for GZ and wish he would just fade away. Now we have a new idiot with a gun that they can and will use for their anti gun agenda.

  19. Used to do leather work many years ago. Mostly leather carving, I still have the tools and stamps and your welcome to them if your ever near Chattanooga. Just send me a PM. Tandy leather is a good place to start.
  20. Sorry I missed your point on the OP. I thought you were bashing the old guy for open carrying.
  21. That's what I'm getting at, what is his point? The guy did nothing wrong that I can see.
  22. So what did he do wrong? The fact that he was open carrying, or he had a full sized piece or that he was an older guy. Just trying to figure out why the OP though this needed posting. I don't open carry, but that's up to me.
  23. You don't get anything but a chance to see the place a day before the Grand Opening.
  24. Anyone going to the PRE GRAND OPENING May 12, 2015? This is for Cabela's Club members. 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. If your a Club member you should have gotten a invitation in the mail.
