  1. "job justification" or "milking the system" comes to mind.
  2. Lecturer Robin DiAngelo, who coined the term, is teaching the taxpayer-funded class for the city Officeof Arts and Culture. That's all I needed to read.

  7. Those were the days! I have the paperwork for my Ithaca 1911bought from the Army back in 1964 for $17.50, and $7.50 of that was shipping by REA. I wish that's what I paid for it.
  8. Your lucky to get 2 out of 10 to even sound alike, they are all over the target and tend to choke most semi autos. What quality control? we don't need no stinking quality control.
  9. Depends on how hard up you are for .22's. There one step above not having any ammo.

  11. Or obama, just saying.
  12. Toward the end of the Sunday service, the Minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?" 80% held up their hands. The Minister then repeated his question. All responded this time, except one man, Walter Barnes. "Mr. Barnes, are you not willing to forgive your enemies?" "I don't have any," he replied gruffly. "Mr. Barnes, that is very unusual. How old are you?" "Ninety-eight," he replied. The congregation stood up and clapped their hands. "Oh, Mr. Barnes, would you please come down in front and tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years and not have an enemy in the world?" The old man tottered down the aisle, stopped in front of the pulpit, turned around, faced the congregation, and said simply, "I outlived all them a$$holes." Then he calmly returned to his seat.
  13. A man walked into a cowboy bar and ordered a beer just as President Clinton came on the TV. After a few sips he looked up at the screen and mumbled, "Now there is the biggest horse's ass I've ever seen." Immediately a customer at the end of the bar got up, walked over, decked him and left. A few minutes later, the man was finishing his beer when Hillary Clinton appeared on the TV. "She's a horse's ass too," he said. A customer from the other end of the bar got up, walked over and knocked him off his stool. "Dadgum!" the man said, climbing back up to the bar. "This must be Clinton country." "Nope," the bartender replied, "Horse country!"

  17. I know I've posted this before, but it really fits here.
  18. The Loop is pretty much surrounded by the "south side" now a days. There are still some great places to eat and see but you better know where your going and how to get there. It's much worse now then when I was growing up there 50 years ago or even 20 years ago when I moved out of Illinois.
  19. That could be a toss up.
  20. That's like going to Knoxville but staying in Chattanooga. I agree St. Joe is much safer then Chicago, as long as you stay out of the courthouse. Hell, what city isn't safer then the south side of Chicago?
