Absolutely Brilliant !!! COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America . ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It’s 5.6%. COSTELLO: That many people are out of work? ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%. COSTELLO: You just said 5.6%. ABBOTT: 5.6% Unemployed. COSTELLO: Right 5.6% out of work. ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%. COSTELLO: Okay, so it’s 23% unemployed. ABBOTT: No, that’s 5.6%. COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 5.6% or 23%? ABBOTT: 5.6% are unemployed. 23% are out of work. COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed. ABBOTT: No, Obama said you can’t count the “Out of Work” as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed. COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!! ABBOTT: No, you miss his point. COSTELLO: What point? ABBOTT: Someone who doesn’t look for work can’t be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn’t be fair. COSTELLO: To whom? ABBOTT: The unemployed. COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work. ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed. COSTELLO: So if you’re off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment? ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely! COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don’t look for work? ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That’s how it gets to 5.6%. Otherwise it would be 23%. COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number? ABBOTT: Two ways is correct. COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job? ABBOTT: Correct. COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job? ABBOTT: Bingo. COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work. ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like a Democrat. COSTELLO: I don’t even know what the hell I just said! ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like Hilary

I was a Hunters Safety Instructor for about 10 years when I lived in Illinois. We had mostly kids go thru the course so they could get their first hunting license, also had plenty of adults that needed the course to get a out of state license where the course was required. The course was given at the Sportsmen's Club I belonged to. After the class we would let the kids shoot at a few clays. I will never forget the smiles on their faces. Time well spent :pleased:

Bob was sitting on the plane waiting to fly to Chicago , when a guy took the seat beside him. The guy was an emotional wreck, pale, hands shaking in fear. "What's the matter, afraid of flying?" Bob asked. "No, it's not that. I've been transferred to Chicago . The people are crazy there, right? Lots of shootings, gangs, race riots, drugs, poor schools, and the highest crime rate in the nation." Bob replied, "I've lived in Chicago all my life. It's not as bad as the media says. Find a nice home, go to work, mind your own business, and enroll your kids in a nice private school. I've worked there for 14 years and never had the slightest trouble." The guy relaxed and stopped shaking and said, "Oh, thank you. I've been worried to death, but if you've lived and worked there all those years and say it's OK, I'll take your word for it. What do you do for a living?" "I'm a tail gunner on a Budweiser truck."

We sure like to play "what if" when we don't know all the facts about what happened. I can play too," What if the dog hadn't stopped to take a :poop: , would he have caught the rabbit?" :dunno: Just saying we have only seen one side of the story. -

And here we go again, same old BS. We never see what leads up to the LEO asking to see his permit. We just see what happens after the LEO takes the bait. All he had to do is show his permit. No you don't have to be a sheep, but don't have to be a jackass, either. -

I've reached the point where I just shoot 223 now in long guns, but still like to shoot my 1911 45's. I just turned 69 last year and it seams like over night, getting old catches up with you. -
