1. Agreed. The Brady's have been dealt some losses. I hope the trend continues. Seems there's some clearity coming to the issue. There's still a few pockets of resistance.
2.   I like this part
3. Thanks for the replies.   I hear ya.   Follow-up shots is a good point. I've had to do that shooting gound hogs with my 17HMR and it seems a "correct fit" would help with the speed AND accuracy.   Than there's the novelty of carrying a lefty. Is it seen as "custom" or "special" or "pricey"?????????????
4. I have two other bolt guns, a 22 and a 17HMR. I'm shopping for a .308 and notice some brands offer left handed at nearly the same price. Should I stick with what I know or are there unforseen benefits I should pursue in a left handed bolt gun? Since the price is so close of course.
5. Bullet???????????????    I'm thinking Obama will do a drone strike.
6. Here in east TN, we have a pack of wild dogs that roam the woods. They are large mongrels. We have black bears and coyotes too but it is the wild dogs that give people the creeps. I took out one with a shot gun during grouse season and a friend of mine took out one with his .270 dear rifle at near point blank range, just before daylight. Think you hear something so you shine the flashlight and................................
7.   Only if your using a certain english translation that's 400+ years old. It's very clear if you go to the original Hebrew or a newer translation where the confusion is cleared up.
8. This is all new to me. I love history and guns, etc....... but a connection between blacks and the NRA was not a part of my public school and college education.   Surprise!
9. Opening monolog trying to be funny about very serious topics. Obama, who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago is leading the charge to dismantle our Bill of Rights. But he is not the only one, most previous presidents have pushed the limit. Yes, the Patriot Act was often attacked and it's attackers were given some credence. I like Bill's point about wire-taps, it is a good one. Bill actually implies a media bias in Bush vs Obama. I'm glad some things in the Patriot Act were allowed to sunset. I guess it served a purpose at the time but I was not real happy with it. I've trusted all past presidents more than I trust Obama.   Off topic but speaking of the constitution, Originally, we allowed presidents to serve as many terms as they could win. There's has been talk just this week of returning to that. I saw that coming.
10.
One in the chamber, hammer down, no safety. DA/SA
^^^^^^^^^^^^What he said
11. Another plug for the PK380. Just plain comfortable in the hand; easy slide operation; low recoil; SA/DA, tolerates limp wrist. The manual safety option appeals to many women (and those standing near-by). Mine eats every ammo I tried, 100%. At around 19oz it is not snappy at all.
12. Back when I was a kid I was all over the neighborhood either walking or by bike, the 70s. Most people let their dogs run loose and thought nothing of it. As kids, we knew how to deal with it: don't run, don't show fear, pick up a stick or rock, or just act like you've picked up a stick or rock. Kids and dogs both survived. Glad to hear you've worked it out
13. More than a hater of pail-face, but a hater of America in general. Just like Rev. Wright and that croud. The media is full of these liberals at every level, every age, local and national. The article says "Albert Bender, a Cherokee activist, journalist, historian and grant writer, lives in Antioch" He left out "propagandist". He blames the guns, Ronald Reagan, and whites. He implies that the native tribes lived in peace and harmony one with the other but in fact they wared and took slaves of each other. Of course he will fail to mention any facts that do not satisfy his liberal bias.
14. I have researched the LC9, I really love the ergonomics, size and features. Check out Cabelas.com. Currently, their patrons have posted 34 owner reviews. The score is at 3.7 out of a possible 5 which is really quite low. Alot of people must have been expecting something else but it is what it is, long and vague trigger. As long as you know that going in and feel you've done your research, go for it and enjoy. (or not)
15. I was in the military from '78 thru the 80s. That was during the time the Beretta came in. The 1911s were so worn out and poorly supported by that time, we were glad to toss them. Just sayin'
