  2. Yea, I think all handgun permit holders feel that way.
  3. Three for me: -XD-9 Service Bi-tone -Bushmaster A3 M4 16" w/tele. stock .223 -Beretta 92FS 9mm
  4. Oh sweet. I'll read that tomorrow at work when it gets slow.
  5. Can we get some cliffs notes..
  6. I ordered some C-products USGI aluminum mags, grey moly, chrome silicon springs, grey Magpul followers. I ordered 10 from Wideners and it was $127.50, tax and shipping included. I'll post back about how they perform after I shoot this weekend.
  7. Well there are dumbasses everywhere you go. Owl Hollow for one: I went to Owl Hollow one day back in June 06. While it is nice to have a range where you are free to do what you want, I did witness something there to make me never want to return. I was a guest of a member, and while the range was hot and several people were actively shooting on the rifle range, a man walked out onto the range to set up his targets only about 50 feet to the left of where we were shooting. He completely ignored our yells, didn't even give us a look! I don't know if he was deaf, drunk, or just incompetent, but that one experience is enough to make me never want to return.

    New toy!!!

Nice.. how much was it? My M4 was delivered to my FFL today and I am picking it up tomorrow. 4 mags arrive tomorrow, too, and I have about 700 rounds sitting here. I need to get some more ammo and mags but I'll buy that stuff gradually.. http://www.bushmaster.com/electronic-documents/operation-manual/opmanual.pdf
  9. Well I just got Tru-Glo TFO night sights installed on my XD-9. The Fiber Optic portion makes good use of available light by capturing it through the length of the fiber optic piece and directing that light to the end of the tube that is the dot you see. In bright light, it's really bright. In low light, it's still pretty bright. The tritium, which a radioactive material, glows and the light emitted is directed through the fiber optic tube, again to the end which is the dot you see when you aim. In low light or darkness, they are brighter than you might think if you've never used night sights. Keep in mind that tritium glows all the time and doesn't need to capture light to glow. The advantage over plain tritium sights is that you have a brighter sight when there is light available. A disadvantage is that you could break one of the fiber optic pieces if its dropped, and that sucks. Anyways, www.xd-hs2000.com will install sights for free if you buy sights from him. They seem a bit disorganized there but if you can wait a week or two you can save some money. I am happy with the install.. he even sighted it in for me for free. I made an XD-9 sight thread a few weeks ago: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59&highlight=sights
  10. Yes, that is the point I was making.
  11. No I haven't been to shoot IDPA yet but I plan to.
  12. Courtesy The Ayoob Files:
  13. On-Target's indoor range is really nice. I had been there 4 or 5 times before the fire.
  14. Yes but I wouldn't consider that certain circumstances since the situations you listed probably constitute 95% of the reasons handguns are shipped. But I agree, we still haven't clearly established whether it's legal to ship directly to another non-FFL holder in the same state.
  15. Well that was a great lesson for everyone else at that guy's expense.
  16. USPS ships handguns all the time. My last one was shipped via USPS. There are a bunch of sellers on Gunbroker who ship all their handguns USPS.
  17. That is still very expensive compared to WWB or CCI at Wal Mart. $2 ammo can considered. The prices I have found at my Wal Mart: 100 WWB .45 ACP: $22.68 100 CCI Brass 45 ACP: $19.90 100 9mm WWB 9mm 115gr: $12.60 100 9mm CCI Brass: Just under $11. do da maf
  18. Wal Mart works out cheaper for ammo that's not even reloaded compared to Hoer.. 100 rds WWB: $23.00 so $230 for 1k Or if you get the CCI Brass, that stuff is $20 for 100, so $200 for 1000. That Hoer Gear's 9mm prices are ridiculous. Actually that place is very high on all their prices considering the stuff is reloaded. A few trips to Wal Mart before you go and you could save $70+ dollars on new ammo.
  19. Hobson Pike TWRA range, hopefully Gallatin Gun Club soon..
  20. Yea, those were the days. I think that was 10 years ago! BTW my fiance is going to MTSU now, taking Bio and Chemistry. What are you taking?
  21. It's reintroduced every year, but this year it gets more of a spotlight since the Democrats have house control. I used it as an excuse to buy an M4 anyway I wonder if the **** who introduced the bill realizes that inroducing legislation like this just causes more people to go out and buy more guns and magazines
  22. Archimedes, what games are you playing? I'm playing BF2 a ton. I have 2142 but compared to BF2 it just sucks.
  23. I'm offended that you're planning on being offended. I can honestly say that I've never been offended by anything.
