  1. Did you wind up buying a CCW badge at the show?
  2. That's awesome. I told I would teach her a while ago and never mentioned it again.. as much as I mess with guns I knew it wouldn't slip her mind or anything, so I just waited for her to ask me and sure enough she did.
  3. I took her to the Gallatin gun club today to shoot some .22. She is 22 and has never shot before. It's even more amazing that she finally wanted to go because she is half Japanese and her mom, being from Japan where citizens aren't allowed to have guns at all, has always taught her that only bad guys had guns because that's the way it was there. Anyways, we took my Marlin 60 .22 semi-auto out there, set up some targets at 25 yards and had a blast. She did good and wants to shoot more. I told her what she shot was probably the easiest thing ever and that next time we will try something a little different. Maybe farther out.. work 50 yards then 100. then some smaller targets, etc. Anyways, here are some pics:
  4. FN turns and turned out some nice guns.
  5. Oops, I meant the editorial columnist.
  6. Well that editor may have just helped undo the very thing he wanted everybody to see
  7. "Is that.. is that hair gel?"
  8. And if he tries it, he and the state will get its ass sued off. Guns were confiscated in Louisiana during the Katrina aftermath, wrongfully, illegally. Louisiana was ordered to give the guns back, and Louisiana has been ordered to repay the NRA lawyers who brought and won the lawsuit to give gun owners their guns back. Some damage was done though as many guns were just thrown in trailers or containers, permanently damaging them. The humid salty air didn't help, either. http://www.nraila.org/currentlegislation/read.aspx?ID=1741 http://www.dailytoreador.com/news/2005/09/27/RegionalNews/Nra-Wins.New.Orleans.Gun.Battle-1281496.shtml Still, I will be calling and e-mailing as politicians would love to exercise any power they can. Another good reason NOT to register your guns! These bills are popping up in many states after seeing what happened in Louisiana. I bet it will have no problem passing in TN (law to not allow gov't to confiscate guns in time of crisis).
  9. Tactical Response vs Barrett training is my guess.

    We are a go!

    I'm hunting for a G19 right now.
  11. I don't own a tv DVD recorder.. I'll be recording it to my Comcast DVR but other than playing it out to a DVD recorder I don't know how to make you a copy, otherwise I would..
  12. Good deal.. DVR is set.
  13. Don't try to change it, just shoot it. If you want to shoot a different scenario, then set up and shoot a different scenario along with this one. This one is the way it is, so just leave it.
  14. Yes. The rental car discounts are good. Plus, my gun club requires it.
  15. Don't forget the Civil War wannabes.
  16. What was wrong with what I posted
  17. 1) Call police immediately. I'm the one who called. There is the man who attacked me. I don't know if there are anymore bad guys. 2) Tell the officer you will sign the complaint. You are the victim. You are the person who called the police. 3) Secure evidence (empty shell casings, weapons used by bad guy) - so the guy comes at you with a knife. You shoot him, he drops it, you don't secure it and some thug comes up, grabs it, and runs off. Now you've just shot an unarmed man who is doing a remarkably good job of playing the victim laying there in a pool of blood. Don't let shell casings blow across the road into a storm sewer. Don't necessarially grab it but make sure it's not going anywhere. 4) Point out witnesses. Don't let witnesses who could testify on your behalf get away.. they could be instrumental in proving it was a self-defense shooting should your case go to trial. 5) Tell the police you will give full cooperation in 24 hours after you have spoken with your lawyer. Name, rank, and serial number. Some of this goes back to this thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200

    We are a go!

    That'll do the trick!
  22. Sweet.. firing up sirius now.
  23. That's funny. There's no doubt in my mind this Gecko character was making all those posts just to get a laugh.
