I don't know exactly how that works on match days, but I would imagine they keep the gate open on match days since non-members sometimes compete in them. Otherwise there'd be a line of cars waiting to enter for the matches until someone comes along with a gate card. Maybe someone who knows more about it than me can clarify.

I don't know the answer to it, but I would assume yes since it's going to take place during the IDPA match, and those matches are open to non-members.

That's not true. A friend of mine in Saskatchewan legally owns an XD-40. But, as has been said, it's a pain to go through all the processes there to own and transport them.
