Just picked one up at Bill's Outpost. Pretty freaking excited about it. That is all.
4. Agree. I am trying out a new church today that meets in a school building. Glad I found this thread but disappointed in the answer. I guess it's staying in the truck this morning.
5. Just picked up a Ruger LCR to replace my M&P9c as my concealed carry firearm and immediately ordered a DeSantis Pocket-Tuk on eBay for $20 shipped. Anyone have experience with this combo or just the DeSantis Pocket-Tuk itself? Reviews around the web seem mostly positive with the main complaints being unstable during IWB use and some saying it doesn't hold the gun as securely over time. Most of those guys are carrying the LCP so I am thinking the slightly larger girth of the LCR will help with the second issue but am afraid the extra weight will magnify the first issue. The item number on DeSantis' website also differs slightly for the holster recommended for each gun. Hell, maybe I am just trying to justify my purchase? Looking for anyone with experience that can throw their two cents in. If not, I guess I will find out by Friday when it gets here (hopefully).
6. I know its been a month but congrats on your new gun. I have had one for a couple years now and I love it. the Apex kit is well worth the money, I just have the striker block and sear right now but am thinking about getting the trigger kit soon. I also have the crimson trace grips which i find make the grip just the right size for my hands, you might check into those as well. One of the most comfortable guns I have shot.
7. For the record I would like nothing more than to be proven 100% wrong one day. I would hope if a hot head off duty officer were to approach my car at a red light or stop sign, and I pulled my weapon, that I would not fid myself in the back of a cruiser headed downtown.
8. Actually it does. If they pulled their weapons Mr citizen should have been arrested at the very least.
9. If this were about an HCP'er pulling his weapon on an off duty officer, you can bet we would be reading about an entirely different outcome. I dunno, maybe my thought process is impaired by my disdain for officers being able to run stop signs and speed just whenever the hell they want to
10. I would love to know what 1 guy did (that didnt get him arrested) that justified 2 officers pulling a weapon. I guess I am not surprised the hypocrisy lives on.
11. That's it right there. Citizen or officer, you can't just go pointing a gun at someone. If the roles were reversed you can bet that Mr Citizen is taken to jail on the spot. On duty or not, officers should be held to at least the same standard as the rest of us (wishful thinking).
12. whoa, cops getting away (possibly) with stuff the general public cant. no way.
13. m&p9c with APEX love
