Did he "pursue"  DaveTN said he chased Trayvon down...which one of you is correct?   Zimmerman doesn't need "probable cause" to watch someone in his neighborhood who appears to be acting suspiciously (or even if he isn't acting suspiciously).   Did Zimmerman "question" Trayvon?  If it did, was Zimmerman's questions "consistent" whit proper procedure?  ;)

I guess that settles that - it seems like FL is going through a lot of unnecessary trouble with a trial and all; they could have just had you explain it all to them. :rofl:   Unless you were there your armchair quarterbacking is worth no more than that of anyone else no matter how many "consistent with" this or that you throw around.

Absolutely; stupid doesn't mean illegal or anything close to it.   As best I can tell from what I know of the events that night, it's my opinion the Zimmerman did nothing sufficient to justify Martin's attack on him...Martin decided to engage rather than walk away; maybe because he was a stupid teenager..maybe because he had a thuggish mindset...or whatever; we'll never know what Martin's thought processes were that night.   It further appears that Martin's attack was vicious enough that Zimmerman was had legal cause to use deadly force to stop the attack.

There are six, 2ND Degree Murder doesn't require a 12 person jury in FL.

I think we grasp it perfectly well.   Even if Zimmerman's actions were stupid and/or Ill-advised, many of us simply don't believe that those actions (what "lead up to the shooting)", justifies Martin's thuggish reaction of, apparently, attacking Zimmerman. That unnecessary and unjustified attack (in my opinion) presented a legitimate and imminent threat of death or serious injury which justifies Zimmerman's use of deadly force.

I suspect they'll loot and burn regardless of the verdict; if Zimmerman is found not guilt they'll do so out of anger, if he's found guilty they'll do so to "celebrate".   After all, nothing celebrates a "win" like burning down your neighborhood!  :)

Differences of opinion and differences of opinion doesn't mean either side is being illogical.   However, while I don't think you are, I do think there are people who seem overly willing to overlook any information that doesn't support their opinion which would lead me to think that their opinion is based on "belief" or some kind of emotion and emotion is not logic; it's just emotion!  :)

True but I wouldn't put jury tampering past any of these folks.   Do you think the Pink...I mean Black Panthers would have any problem greasing the skids for a conviction if they got a chance???  Then again, they may just wait to put a cap in Zimmerman after the trial; either in the joint or out. :)

Personally I'd carry a G20 (10MM); many hunters rely on the 10MM for emergencies like you are worried about.   Next on the list would be a 45.   I wouldn't bother with the 9MM, but, it might be possible that you could (with a new barrel) modify your 19 to use 357SIG which I think could be a good alternative and not require you to go out and buy a new gun; I'm no expert on Glocks but it might be worth checking into.

And apparently we have some here who are very comfortable with it that way. ;)

Why would you ask that of anyone DAVES? How is that in any way pertinent to this discussion?   Are you just looking for some way to denigrate the person you asked?

You words always seem to paint Zimmerman as the agressor here...I don't think he was and I absolutely don't think we have any facts that actually show that he was (and apparently the first DA didn't think so either).  Those "facts" about him "jumping out of his truck" and "chasing" this "kid" is your embellished interpretation and is quite different from at least some of the witness accounts of what happened and the un-doctored 911 call.   You also ignore that it appears that Zimmerman was heading back to his vehicle when Martin jumped him...Martin had no justification to assault Zimmerman if Zimmerman was returning to his truck because any "threat" Martin thought Zimmerman presented was OVER if Zimmerman was leaving.

I hope you are right and he does get a fair trial.   Actually; it IS a conspiracy by Jackson, Sharpton and their ilk to get money...,going after "whitey" is just the mechanism for them to reach their goal of lining their pockets.  ;)

What does "nice" have to do with anything DAVES?   You were the one who implied that there was something wrong with donating to Zimmerman OR that if someone didn't donate to one or the other they "have nothing to complain about"...how nice was that swipe at KKing???   As long as what I said was accurate (and to the best of my knowledge from what has been reported it is accurate) I don't see why "nice" or insinuating that what I said wasn't "nice" has any bearing on anything here.   So you donated to little Trayvon's parents...good for you.   You can donate or not donate to anyone you want but I don't understand why you would donate to the Marting since they didn't need contributions as they are the ones facing prosecution by a government agency with virtually unlimited resources and even if they were, that million-plus dollar payoff they got should take care of them for the rest of their lives (if they have any sense about handling money, anyway).

What if he did donate to Zimmerman's defense fund?  It seems to me he actually needs it since he's facing the state and their unlimited resources to prosecute him. Trayvon's family sure didn't need money since none of this cost them anything in the first place (and especially after their million dollar lawsuit against the homeowners association...I'll bet they cried all the way to the bank). 

He's probably also at least partially responsible for the Batman movie shooting and the Newtown shooting as well and if they can't get him for that the IRS will get him on some tax issue. ;)

If the town burns then it burns; it isn't my fault if people are stupid enough of criminal enough to do that.   As to Trayvon's parents, sure; they "believed in their child"...but they could have "believed" in him without scrubbing his Facebook and posting pictures when he was a cute little boy (I'm surprised they didn't superimpose a halo over his head). There actions are simply lies about their "little Trayvon" and I don't much care what they have to say after that.   The parents are only one component anyway; the real issue is the abundant and over the top race baiting from the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, the Black Panthers and yes, even Obummer - that race baiting (and DA shopping) is why Zimmerman is on trial. "From what you are "seeing""???  Given that they haven't even chosen their first jury member yet just what are you seeing that is so insightful?   :rolleyes:  Please feel free to give us your insight.

There aren't many movies made today that I feel a need to go to the theater to watch; I've got enough to do that I don't need to go out to the movies just to be entertained. So; something has to REALLY capture my attention to get me to not wait on it to be released on DVD.   This is one of those movies I'll wait for...I'm sure I'll watch it but I'd rather wait on it and save the ticket price!  :)

Injustice?   How about the injustice of shopping for a DA who will do what the race baiters demanded?   Zimmerman is on trial because he's a "white-Hispanic" (I mean good god, the news media had to make up a word for him since they had to find a way to get "white" in their description of him) and because...   1. Little Trayvon's parents could never believe that their cute little 12 year old boy coudd do anything wrong and,   2. Because people like Sharpton and Jackson make their money by race baiting.   Trayvone Martin is Sharpton's 2012 Tawana Brawley (except that unlike Brawley we'll likely never know the truth of it)

Racism is the only reason this case exists...had Zimmerman been black or both Zimmerman and Martin been white or at lest both the same race there would have been no charges filed (just as it shoudl have been).   It also illustrates something I think most people knew but perhaps haven't seen demonstrated so blatantly which is that some minorities are more importnat/have more power than others; hence the insistance that Zimmerman is a "white-hispanic" (sometimes i wish I worked in a profession that allowed me to make up words and pass them off as actually meaning something). ROTFLMAO

There are definitely a few twists and turns that can play out this season...quite a few "new" variables introduced last nigh that should prove interesting. 

Apparently they got what was important to them.
