I mentioned it after Mike did. Anyway. there is clearly something going on with either your hardware or with whatever software you use to connect to the site or with the site itself...it just looks silly to see you quote the same post two or three times in your reply. If you are certain it isn't you/your hardware/software then you need to let the mods know - there might be something going on with the forum software.

But apparently, at least according to some posters here (in prior "parking lot threads) claim that some employers are even trying to dictate the contents of one's actual home and also apparently, have the "right" to inspect the home for such "contraband" (because the employee agreed to it as a condition of employment). If true and if employers can demand that sort of overreach into an person's private home, where can you go from there???

I see nothing wrong with introducing the second printing of a very good book. In any case, it isn't my place to explain anything to you. Anyone who had a problem with Andrew's posts should have brought it to the attention of David or one of the moderators (I'm pretty sure at least one person said he did that) - since Andrew was allowed to continue posting after that person said he had complained I guess David didn't have a problem with his posting here (or the person who said he had complained lied about doing so) If you want an explanation, then you need to ask David.

Yes, links to an analysis by him and other attorneys who was following every minute of the trial and testimony and linksto the live trial feed itself. I not sure why that was such a problem for a very small group of people...maybe being privy to the facts, testimony, evidence, analysis and live feed is a bad thing for those who would rather theorize and what-if this thing to death.

I think he understands the facts just fine but no hack like Holder is ever going to let facts get in the way of his far, far, far, left-wing socialist agenda.

What really makes you think even the next ten elections will actually make a difference? I've seen nothing form ANY party (Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, or any other) that gives me any reason to think that either Congress, the Presidency or even the vast majority of their State equivalents have any desire whatsoever to shrink government or try to return to the boundaries of the Constitution. Maybe you or someone has access to information I don't have but unless you do, I don't see how anything is going to change in even a remotely significant way.

Two years ago as part of the TN State Guard in conjunction with the National Guard, FEMA, other state guards and state emergency agencies from 13 states we simulated a major shift along the New Madrid with the epicenter in Memphis...the anticipated level of destruction of a major event was beyond incredible; anything within 50-100 miles of Memphis would simply be gone. The simulation was bad enough; I hope I never see that for real. The closest I've come was in WA in May of 1981 when St Helens blew her top...I was lucky then.

I don't have a problem with you doing or anybody else doing it so long as it's their rifle they are messing with but I'm not going to do it with my 17s unless TEOTWAWKI has happened and I can't order any more factory mags. ;)

Walmart giving finger to DC city council
RobertNashville replied to jcoosi's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Anyone who has read very many of my posts know that I have no love for Walmart. That said, I hope Walmart sticks to their guns on this one...if DC wants to continue as a cesspool of the uneducated and unemployed I say let them; the voters who put these idiots in office are getting exactly what they deserve. -
Actually I have many pet peeves. One is anybody who sits in the passing lane and isn't passing (makes me wish I had a couple of 50 calibers mounted behind the fog lights). Another pet peeve is people who can't use the English language...not accidental errors but those who simply won't bother to learn how to speak or write clearly...makes me want to hit them upside the head with my bust of Shakespeare. Another pet peeve are people who ask a question they don't really want an answer to then get pissed at me when I answer it. Another pet peeve are people who have too many pet peeves. I could go on but I think I'll stop here. ;)

I'm not sure what it is about ETP's remarks that you find so silly; I find it very rational. Moreover, most of what he stated you'll hear in virtually every training course on the legal use of deadly force taught in any and every classroom in the country, including Tennessee. The law is actually pretty simple, you must be in reasonable fear of death or grave bodily injury before you can be justified in the use of deadly force. What is complicated is deciding for each situation, what constitutes "reasonableness". The law does not even require anyone to wait until they've actually been physically attacked if the perpetrator has demonstrated both the means and the intent to kill you and his proximity is close enough to allow him to do so. That said, whether it's the madman holding a knife, standing 10 feet away yelling "I'm going to kill you" or someone who has just punched you in the nose; you had damn sure better be able to articulate to the police and potentially a jury why you used deadly force - they'll have days, weeks or even months to go over all the details of a decision you had to make in half a second.

If he want's to take what I consider to be an idiotic stand I can respect him for that even if I think it's idiotic. I really do like Stevie as an entertainer but you know, I've never seen him in person and probably wouldn't go to a concert anyway (not because I don't like him but he's just not one I'd go to see). Besides (for those old enough to remember); there's always Memorex
