  1. Great...another vote for Obummer...just what we need (and extremely shot sighted).
  2. Amen. The founders, in their wisdom, provided a way to change and/or restor our republic without the need for revolution. In fact, a revolution is the last thing we need because what we need is RESTORATION and the chance of that happening through violence is slim at best. The Arab Sprign was a revolution too and people, hoping for freedom and individual rights insted got new dictators with different names or to paraphrase Animan Farm, everybody is equal but some are more equal than others.
  3. Actually; whether they are "valid on this site" is not up to your or to me but to the owner and moderators.
  4. I'm with you let's just not vote if "our" particular candidate isn't running...then we can have the muslim socialist for another four yeras or maybe for life as all the people living off the teet of government (which will be well over 50% before Obummer finishes another four yeras) will just annoint him as dictator. Either way, we can kiss our republic and our rights...all our rights, goodby. Yeah...not voting is a GREAT idea!! P.S - I suggest that your "revolution" talk would be better suited for a vigilianiti/militia group forum than TGO. "Just my opinion", of course.
  5. Not a bad reminder! http://www.triggerthevote.org/landing2/
  6. Speaking of feedback, the feedback I had prior to conversion, including some you left for me David, disappeared.
  7. I was wondering about the legalities too but based on Raoul's link I'd say a person would be within his legal rights to shoot down an unmaned drone especially if said drone was overflying the person's property for the purpose of spying on his activities!
  8. One bright spot is that at this point, MSNBC and all its parents and its siblings combined has fewer viewers/readers than TGO has members and of the viewers/readers it does have, they already believe this BS.
  9. David, I'm liking the new software okay but I just noticed something...except for what one person left for me today, all my feedback is gone (including feedback you left for me from when I bought hte HK45). I'm not sure if this is really related to the software change or not; just thought I'd point it out.
  10. Why a Glock? Because they go "bang" when you pull the trigger whith much more reliability than most anything else out there and they are relatively inexpensive - at this point I've been to enough multiple-day handgun classes to see lot's of better/more expensive weapons not make it through the first day withouth choaking badly. I have far more expensive weapons than my Glocks but it's Glock I depend on for carry. All that said, however, carry what you like so long as it's stone cold dependable because the very last thing you want to hear when facing down a threat is a "click" when you needed to hear a "bang"!
  11. Taking care of that lack of experience is what training is for and training should be encouraged. Unfortunately, a lot of "adults" who were raised around firearms need but don't get training. The way I see it, if you are old enough to die for your country you ought to be old enough to protect yourself from the thugs and two-legged piles of crap that walk around preying on people.
  12. Yes, RP is scary.Just like Obama...no way in hell. You could take the absolute worst traits/positions of all four remaining candidates, mold those worst traits into one candidate, multiply by 1000 and the what you get would still be 1,000% better than Obummer on even on Obummer's best (i.e. least objectionable to us) day. We need to understand; whoever is the next president will very likely get to appoint two to four new SC Justices (not to mention hundreds or thousand of lower court justices...do you REALLY want Obummer making those nominations? Heller and McDonald laid a half-way decent foundation of solidifying our second amendment rights but turn the SC to a liberal one and you can kiss our rights goodby. Elections matter, not just for Pres but for Congress as well...if you actually value your rights and if you want to leave a decent country to your children then you don't have the luxury of sitting this one out just because whoever is running isn't the best that could have been offered. Just my $0.02 anyway.
  13. Humm...I usually try to avoid WalMart at all costs but I may have to pick up some of this.
  14. Get her what she wants...after a while, she may well want something with a bit more power but be thankful she is at least willing to carry something! These small caliber guns may not have the stopping power you would want here to have but at the same time, no one with any sense is going to want to get shot with any caliber.
  15. I feel good about Santorum...of the three candidates I've given money to this year, he's the last one still in! Looks like I need to get out my checkbook again.
  16. I'm sorry for your loss but happy that he saved the boy...all of us should wish be so fortunate that we could do something that brave and selfless.
  17. Sort of stating the obvious here aren't you...current service; prior service, LEO, or just a common ordinary joe, who doesn't need more training and practice??? I appreciate your service and while you may react better than others in a given situation past performance is not a guarantee of future success.
  18. I pocket carry my LCR .38 with no prob.
  19. I made it...I'm sure everyone is happy to know that
  20. I'm afraid the only drama queen here is you. Eight years active duty; currently serve in the State Guard and I "get out" plenty...there is also no need to insult me by deciding what group of those on this forum I am part of...unless God died recently and appointed you in his place you can't look into my heart or the heart of anyone else on this forum for that matter and know what "some of those here" are like or who belongs as part of that "some" (apparently you also can't bother to look at a member's profile either or you wouldn't have made your blunder about my military service). Your thoughts appear to be based far more on assumptions than fact...it most certainly can happen here. About half of our population (and I'm being generous) are already mindless, dependent sheep subsisting on the largess of what the government has stolen from those who aren't. The Constitution is nothing but an old piece of paper; its only strength lies in the honor and integrity of those who willingly agree to abide by it; honor and integrity are in very short supply these days and especially so in the halls of government at all levels.
  21. I'll do my best to be there regardless of the date...the only day I absolutely can't is the first Saturday in March because that's a drill Saturday for me.
  22. I wouldn't want the sign because... 1. I don't want to advertise that I have one or more firearms because that may well make me an inviting target. 2. Such a sign mostly eliminates any element of surprise I might have if a BG is expecting me to be armed. I look at it like this; I try not to do things that may make a potential BGs think I have stuff worth steeling...I also take multiple steps to deter their trying...if my cameras, reinforced doors, security system and dog aren't enough to deter them a silly sign out front saying "I'll shoot you" certainly isn't going to do so. Plus, such a sign has no meaning if I"m not at home! Of course, some bad guys aren't going to care about a sign or an alarm system or whether I'm home or even if I have valuable things...some bad guys are just bad guys and breaking into homes, whether the resident is there or not, is just what they do.
  23. Yes, I know but that was not my point...my point was the fallacy of the thought process of "it can't happen" whether it's "to me" or "in the U.S.". The government deciding to trash the Constitution (what's left of it) most certainly is something that could happen and all it will really take are those in power willing to do so and a public of mindless, dependent, sheep.
  24. Ah...for some reason I thought the original post said it was an external!
  25. Such a scenario has already been played out...it's part of recorded history...I respectfully suggest that anyone who truly believes it "can't happen here" is simply arrogant and someone walking around with not just blinders on but a full mask covering their eyes. I'm not saying such an event is likely or that we should spend huge amounts of time or resources worrying about it but I believe that we should at least be aware of the possibility and thing through these issues. I have never actually be "in" a tornado and I never thought I'd see an F5 tornado touch down a mile from my home...but then I saw it happen.
