LePage Threatens RNC Boycott
RobertNashville replied to plank white's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't see why a fourth place finisher should qualify for prime-time but if you are going to give him some time then I think I have a solution to how much - give each of the loser candidates the same percentage of the time at the podium as they got in percentage of total delegates during the primaries! If they did that here would be the breakdown... Santorum 11.68% Gingrich 6.34% Paul 5.16% I don't know how much of the convention will actually be broadcast but if you figure three nights and 3 hours of prime-time per night that would give Ron about 28 minutes...seems more than fair. -

I've never watched a convention where the party (both parties) didn't maintain absolute control over its content...I don't think this one is really any different. As to who wins...I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet but I'm buying more ammo. -

I didn't post a comment about you; I posted a comment about the relevance/quality of your source.I disagree with your position on the election and I question the veracity and quality of some or your sources - if you feel personally insulted then I apologize. -

Does posting what is essentially the same story twice makes it more relevant? It's a good thing for Ben Swan's career that Ron Paul ran again this cycle; without RP to push onto his viewers he wouldn't have anything to talk about! -
wife's bag searched at the theater
RobertNashville replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Of course it's legal...they can't compel a search but they absolutely can request to do one. You have the absolute right to refuse. That, of course, doesn't make it any less irritating but illegal and irritating are two different animals. -
Gary Johnson...the Libertarian? Really????
RobertNashville replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm not sure that's allowed. -

You have to be careful quoting me before I at least edited my post once or twice. I don't know what the Paulbots want...I'm not sure they even want the same thing RP wants. However, if the convention turned into a mud fight the only person it could actually help would be the socialist in chief currently occupying the White House. -

If RP is enough of a egomaniac to let his delegates do that then he could probably throw quite a wrench into the convention. I'd like to think he has more class than that but who knows. -

So...Obama (assuming he didn't win Main anyway which is a questionable assumption), would get FOUR additional electoral votes...what a catastrophe! -

This little drama might be important to Main but of Main's 24 delegates, only 2 were designated for Romney in the first place...if none of them are seated that's 1.05% of the delegates who won't be there....I suspect that Romney can survive with only 1,471 delegates instead of 1,473. -
Well, given that's apparently what happened I'd say the chances are about 100% More seriously, I can think if at least a couple of different ways this could have happened....not the least of which is a SNAFU with whatever database they would have checked that should have indicated the gun was stolen (assuming it had been reported stolen at the time they would have been checking).

Gary Johnson...the Libertarian? Really????
RobertNashville replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Really? Because I don't agree with the pro-RP/third party/send a message/can't stand Romney folks I "hate" them? That sounds a lot like "if you support traditional marriage you hate gays". And pretty much the same as videos that support RP/GJ/anti-Romney are pure fact motivated only by wanting to get the truth out but any video that presents a counter viewpoint is all taken out of context or completely fabricated. -

Not a bad idea...Plus, if Congress or SCOTUS or any of his agency heads get out of line he can go beat them up and put them back on the right path! -
Gary Johnson...the Libertarian? Really????
RobertNashville replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sure...it was all taken out of context and all the anti-Mid videos are pure as the driven snow. I suppose it could be that all that video about the flip-flopper Gary Johnson was really just someone by the same name who happened to look and sound like Gary Johnson. -
Burglary and a 12 Gauge
RobertNashville replied to RobertNashville's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I guess I'm just not on the same page with some folks...I am not going to sit waiting for a chance to blow some one away. Yes; if someone were to break into my home tonight they are going to be on the receiving end of either a 12ga or a 5.56 but I'm not going to sit, awake, just so that I can shoot someone. Sure, at least in Tennessee and most states I'd could probably get away with it but is that supposed to make it the right thing to do? -

You must have the super-secret-probation version of the TGO software 'cause I don't have any little red "x" on any part of the screen. That aside, can't you take a joke? -

I second that thought although it may be optimistic to assume it will stop just because November 7th comes up on the calender. -
As noted by the author, this is a long read but after I read it I though it was well worth the time - I think there are some lessons to be learned here... Excerpt: Link to full story: https://www.usconcea...1)&utm_content=

Gary Johnson...the Libertarian? Really????
RobertNashville replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Didn't you get the memo? Even if you didn't, how could anyone not figure it with all the dozens of "Pro-RP", "Pro-GJ", "anti-Romney" videos posted in the past couple of months, mostly as the first post of the thread and then usually laced through each thread. I'm just going with the flow. -

Of course people can change....unless of course your name is Mit Romney. -

What plank really means is that he doesn't care about the glaring inconsistencies in his chosen candidate. But he's always up for pointing out any perceived inconsistencies in Romney -
