Yeah...he's obviously planning on taking over the government with that "arsenal" LOL
-
Why the hell does anyone here care about Zimmerman at this point. :screwy: I guess O'l Nancey needs some ratings...I wonder how many of us Nancy Grace would claim have an "arsenal" of guns and ammunition???

You are correct in that I am assuming or at least am highly suspicious that these were probably illegal Mexican aliens (or children of the same) but it really makes no difference either way because no American living in America should be punished or threatened with punishment by displaying the flag of America (the United States) just because some immigrants form Mexico or any other country might be offended. The whole situation stinks.

I've had the privilege of meeting Nikki a few times (she is usually at the TFA meetings in Hermitage) and I've heard her story on several occasions...she had a great deal to to with changes to carry laws in Ohio (much as she did here in changing the prohibition against firearms in places that serve alcohol). She also has a book out that I highly recommend. http://www.nikkigoeser.com/

Even if that was their intent (to cause a reaction from "Mexican students" )so what? If the American flag causes a "reaction" from Mexican students then maybe those Mexican students should be in Mexico! If my parents move to France or Italy or Germany (illegally or legally) and I'm a student in their schools; should I be "offended" by the French, Italian or German flag on the Fourth of July?

Well after all...we can't have our American flag upsetting all those criminal aliens now can we??? If this kind of BS makes you mad then let me ask you...do you have children in the public school system and if so WHY????????????? This s**t isn't going to stop and it isn't going get any better so if you want your children indoctrinated in how to be good little comrades then go ahead and keep them in the cesspool called the public school system.

Gun Rights, Can we make a difference for Tennessee?

Wouldn't it have been nice to have had an audio or video recording of his first statement to you to play it during the public session right after he made the second statement! ;) -

My sisters dogs are missing, we need some eyes in Blaine.

People who abuse animals or abandon them are sick, worthless beings who are a waste of skin yet the rescue I work with take in animals every day because the "owners" are "too busy" or don't have the money to take care of them (i.e. they thought animals never get sick or need medical attention) or they just don't want the animal any longer. -

That's good news...I know the feeling too well when one of your guys goes missing ....I'm glad they made it back home! :) By the way; I don't mean to preach but if they aren't chipped I'd get it done...it's not that expensive these days! -
I do understand that it's a sacrifice but there is also home schooling. If there is anything I've learned in my life it's that, with rare exception, people can do and will find a way to do what's truly important to them. Yes, private school is expensive and home schooling is not inexpensive either when you get right down to it but unless this family is on the bottom of the income ladder I suspect there are plenty of things they could give up that would free up enough $$$ resources to make private or homeschooling possible for their kids. How many of these stories do we have to hear before people wake up and realize that public schools today, even in good 'ol Tennessee are nothing but indoctrination centers to teach children how to bend the knee to government...to believe the exact opposite of true history? We have a lot of conservatives/libertarians on this forum who scream about wanting personal liberty, freedom and small (or sometimes NO) government yet they seem just fine with the federal government dictating to TN schools what they must teach and how they must teach it using textbooks that are full of liberal BS and sometimes, outright lies...why aren't you storming the capital building demanding that TN get the federal government out of our TN classrooms and stop dictating?

I'm surprised that you haven't been chided you for being so negative and not getting in the spirit of the thread! ;) -

I would tend to agree with you Oh Shoot (which is usually wise :) ) but I will openly admit that just "anyone" being able to pack heat does cause me some trepidation. I base that on experience with some that I've seen going through the required training. Aside from the class I took when I first applied for my HCP I've had the opportunity to go through several others (sometimes to be with friends who were going for their HCP and sometimes because for some training establishments, they require that you go through their basic training first (which is often their HCP training class) before you can go to their more advanced classes...so, I've had many "HCP" training classes! Anyway...I've seen some folks in those classes that truly knew absolutely NOTHING about firearms...not even the most basic things and I have to say, the thought of some of those folks carrying a firearm with out even the basic training the HCP process requires is a sobering thought for me. I'm not saying that they and we shouldn't be able to carry anywhere, anytime...I'm not saying that the HCP training is great...I'm not arguing with the statistics (of no blood in the street) from "constitutional carry" but I wish there were some way to require a modicum of training before anyone was allowed to legally carry a firearm on their person....does that make me soft on the constitution? I don't know??? -
Gun confiscation is on the table in Conn.
RobertNashville replied to jphillips63's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
There may never be any evidence (but I suspect there will be eventually). Whether there is or isn't I'm not going to jump to conclusions without evidence just because the conclusion happens to fit a desired point; at least I try not to do that. -

I don't for a moment believe that we are going to see widespread gun confiscation in Connecticut - I don't think these cowardly law makers who passed these ridiculous laws have either the resources to do nor the resources to handle tens of thousands of "felons" all at once nor, frankly, do they have the balls to do it. These lawmakers are nothing but bullies and bullies tend to be afraid of anyone who actually stands against (and I think these idiots in CT are pretty scared right now). At the same time; I think it worth noting that such has happened before in the U.S. and that it would be short-sighted to think that it cannot happen again. Certainly; there is substantial evidence that many, especially many in our own government, would love nothing more than to make private ownership of arms illegal. Acknowledging that does not many one a "tinfoil hat" wearer nor a conspiracy theorists wacko. -

I think you are submitting facts not in evidence and drawing conclusions base on them. I haven't heard anyone offer evidence that they were even going after the son specifically or, if they were, whether they had reason to do so. Just because he was "kid" doesn't mean he was innocent and shouldn't have been taken out. At the very least, I want real evidence before I start throwing around this incident as proof of anything. -

This kid's dad was as terrorist and a traitor and deserved what he got and how he got it. It's too bad about the son getting hit if he was totally innocent of his father's actions but I don't know that and I haven't heard anyone else with definitive evidence of that either...in fact, do we even know if they were going after this kid or was he just in a place that had someone they were going after? And if they were specifically going after the son do we know why? Until those questions are answered no one can say whether the drone hit that killed the son was justified or not. -

I don't give a rat's ass about the U.S. killing tratiors with drones or any other way when they are on foreign soil working against the country. If they start killing them here without due process (arrest, trial, etc.) that's another matter. -

New evidence suggests officers at fault, not suspect.
RobertNashville replied to whitewolf001's topic in General Chat
I'm all for going after the officers personally in civil court as well. ;) And yes, I do know that it's taxpayer $$$ when it comes from the city PD but it does, at least, put a dent in the city budget which, other than votes in an election is about all the bureaucrats understand! -

I hope so...costing these police departments money is likely about the only thing that will truly get their attention. -

RobertNashville replied to whitewolf001's topic in General Chat
"after reviewing the evidence, the Bloomfield police department found no fault with the officers’ actions." I think I'm less troubled that these officers did this than I am that their department didn't seem to have a problem with it...that indicates to me that the problem goes far deeper than a couple of a-hole's with badges. -
Sure...come to an employment at will state with a history (especially in the automotive industry) or rejecting unions and spend a billion $ to build a plant in Chattanooga and then close it because their workers don't want a union? When pigs sprout wings and fly would I believe that and even then I'd doubt it. If VW was actually that stupid they wouldn't be in business.
