  4. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/tom-kennedy-name-that-tune-host-dead-at-93 TV game show host Tom Kennedy has died at the age of 93. His daughter Courtney and nephew Ben confirmed to Fox News that Kennedy -- born James Edward Narz -- died on Wednesday in his Oxnard, California home. The cause of death is unknown at this time. "He passed away peacefully," said Ben. Kennedy was known best as the host of "Name That Tune" and "You Don't Say!" Variety reports that Kennedy moved to Los Angeles from Louisville, Ky. to pursue a career in broadcast, and after working in radio, he began hosting game shows in the 1950s. In order to avoid confusion with his brother, also a host, he changed his name to Tom Kennedy. Aside from "Name That Tune" (1974-1981) and "You Don't Say!" (1963-1969), the television personality was known for hosting "Split Second" (1972-1975) and "Password Plus" (1980-1982)." Additionally, he hosted a syndicated nighttime edition of "The Price is Right" in the '80s and briefly had his own talk show. Eventually, Kennedy would retire and earn the Game Show Congress’ Bill Cullen award for lifetime achievement, the outlet reports. The star also had an acting career with a handful of film, television and stage credits to his name. Kennedy's children Linda Ann Narz, James Narz Jr. and Courtney Ellen Narz survive him, as does his granddaughter Abigail Norah Narz and his sister, Mary Lovett Scully. Kennedy was married to his wife Betty, who passed away in 2011. They also had a daughter, Julia, who passed away in 2015.

  8. My wife and I stopped by Sportsmans Warehouse in Southhaven, MS this morning and were able to pick up 2000 Small Pistol Primers. They are only giving out 1000 per customer. The total cost per 1000.00 was $25. 57. I was happy to get them and at a great price. Will stop by again in a few days.
  9. Guns and Ammo in Memphis has the 6" model for a price of $1599.00.
  10. Yes I have been out to the range. Just have not gotten around talking about it. I can say this revolver has the best trigger I have ever shot on a so called stock revolver. You have to pay a lot of money to get a trigger as good as this gun has. I shot both .357 Magnum and .38 Specials out of the gun. The .38's were like shooting 22's and the .357 Magnum's shot very well also.
  11. It is Stainless! But you are correct it does look blued.
  12. It was priced the same as Kentucky Gun Company is showing they sell it for. The only other place the shows selling this gun at a low price is Oakhillguns. They may raise the price when they get one available.
  13. Yesterday I was checking out the Facebook page of one of our local gun ranges here in Memphis (Top Gun) and noticed they just received this New Colt Python in. I couldn't believe it was still available when I went over to the range this afternoon. I could not help myself I had to have it. It was between this beautiful Colt Python and Links2K Henry .357 Magnum Rifle. I am sorry Links2k, but the Colt won. I cannot wait to get to the range shoot this beautiful handgun.
  14. Today is National Purple Heart Day August 7. This is my Grandfathers Purple Heart from World War I. PURPLE HEART DAY Purple Heart Day, on August 7th, commemorates the creation of the oldest American military decoration for military merit. The Purple Heart honors the men and women who are of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. During the American Revolutionary War, the Badge for Military Merit decorated six known soldiers. General George Washington created the Badge of Merit in 1782. Washington intended the honor to be presented to soldiers for “any singularly meritorious action.” Its design included a purple, heart-shaped piece of silk bound with a thin edge of silver. Across the face, the word Merit was embroidered in silver. While the badge symbolized the courage and devotion of an American Patriot, no one knows who designed the award. Until Washington’s 200th birthday, the Purple Heart persisted as a Revolutionary War footnote. Through the efforts of General Douglas MacArthur, the U.S. War Department created the Order of the Purple Heart. Today the medal bears a bust of George Washington and his coat of arms. While an accurate and complete list of names no longer exists, National Geographic recently estimated that nearly 1.9 million service members have earned Purple Hearts since its creation. It is the oldest U.S. military honor still bestowed upon service members today. Until 1944, the Purple Heart recognized service members’ commendable actions as well. Then in 1944, the requirements limited the award to only those wounded or killed in combat. Purple Heart Firsts William Brown and Elijah Churchill received the Badge of Military Merit during the Revolutionary War when the award first replaced the Fidelity Medallion. Army General Douglas MacArthur received the first modern-day Purple Heart. Army Lt. Annie G. Fox received the Purple Heart during World War II for her actions during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
  15. I check Powder Valley 9 or 10 times a day and missed those primers. When they come up they go fast. Glad you got them.
  16. I ordered a set of Hogue rubber grips for the 29. I will let you know how they work with the speed loaders when I get them on the gun.
  17. I picked up a speed loader for the Model 29 today and I can say it did work, but it was a tight fit.
  18. Right know I do not know just got the gun yesterday. There are some grips that will not let you use a speed loader. I will let you know.
  19. You are correct about the grips. They are some of the best looking and feeling grips I have had on any revolver I have owned in the past.
