  1. I have a M&P Pro 9 and love the gun. I use it to shoot SSP division in IDPA. If you are planning on using the gun for conceal carry I would suggest going with the APEX M&P Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit DCAEK ($89.95). This will smooth out your trigger and kept the trigger pull around 5.5lbs. If you want an even lighter trigger pull Apex has the APEX M&P Competition Action Enhancement Kit -Comp AEK ($94.95). Which ever you choose the kits are not that difficult to put in you handgun. Apex has several great videos to get you through the process. If you do decide to put the kits in on your own I would strongly suggest purchasing a Roll Pin Punch Set. Happy shooting.
  2. My Smith & Wesson M&P Pro feels very good in my hand.
  3. On Tuesday nights from 6:00pm till 8:45pm there is an IDPA shoot at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency in Bartlett, TN located at Yale and Brother Blvd.
  4. For the best conversion barrels on the market I would look at KKM or Bar-Sto or Storm Lake. All are great barrels.
  5. I currently own several Glocks in calibers of 9mm and .40 cal. But when it came to .45 cal. I have always gone with the 1911 platform. Today I purchased a Glock 21 Gen4 and couldn't be happier. I got a chance to go to the range this afternoon and shot 100 rounds of 230gr FMJ. The gun was flawless right out of the box. I really like the grip of the Gen4 and the gun feels great in my hands.
  6. Bank of America, recipient of over 100 billion dollars in the tax-payer funded bailout, has made the decision to terminate the account of the McMillan Group International due to their gun-manufacturing activities. Below is a link to the story. http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981276644
  7. I would like to give you my range report on my new Springfield EMP 9mm. I have had the gun for two weeks and have put 250 rounds down range to date. 200 of the rounds were 115gr. FMJ Whinchester White Box, 40 Remington Golden Saber 124 gr, and 10 Remington Golden Saber 124gr +p ammo. All 250 rounds performed flawlessly. The recoil was very manageable and I was able to keep every shot on target were I wanted it to shoot. The stock grips are ok, but I wanted something a little more agressive to hold on to. I order a pair of VZ EMP Aliens Black G-10 grips for the gun. The grips look great and feel great. If anyone is interested in aquiring the EMP for EDC I would highly recommend this handgun. Thank you. Click on pictures
  8. I have owned four Kimbers in the last two years. All of them have been flawless. I have never had any problems with any of them. I currently carry a Super Carry Pro HD everyday. I have found that Kimbers are very tight when you first get them and after about 500 rounds they really begin to losen up. I will purchase more Kimbers in the future. Next one will be a Super Carry Ultra.
  9. I own both a Wilson CQB and have had four Kimbers. Every Kimber that I have owned has funtioned flawlessly. I have never had a problem with any of them. Kimbers are great handguns, but there is something different about a Wilson Combat. As soon as you hold one and shoot one you will understand what I am talking about.
  10. I found this on Fox News website this morning. Click on link. House Approves Concealed Firearm Permit Bill | Fox News
  11. Classic Arms would be a good place to have your sights installed and the gunsmith at Guns and Ammo does a good job also. The Glock sights are not that difficult to install. I have installed all my Glock sights myself and I am no gunsmith. Here is a video link from Dawsonprecision that will guide you through the process.
  12. Hello FiddleDog I agree with you. I received my springs for my Glock 23 and 22 Gen 4 models and they do fell heavier to me also.

    S&W M&P

I have owned a M&P .40 and it was easy to carry and a very good handgun, but I do love my Glocks.
  14. Hello Folks Thanks for your imput. I have found out what my problem was. I am almost too embarrass to tell what the problem was. I had the wrong shellplate on the machine.
  15. I have a Dillion 550 and I was changing from .45 to 9mm as I always do and I place the first lubed case into the press and the case stuck in the die. I removed the case placed another case in and again the next one stuck in the die. I have checked every thing and all looks fine. I removed the die cleaned it and place it back on the press and again the next case stuck in the die. I have ran over 20,000 cases through this die. Is it time to purchase another die or is there something else I am doing wrong. I would appreciate any imput from you all. Thank you
  16. I have both the Glock 22 Gen4 and Glock 23 Gen4. During the day I carry the G-23 and at night I carry the G-22. I shoot both handguns well, but I would give a small edge to the G-22. I do not think you would go wrong with either gun. Get the one the fits your needs better and enjoy.

    Kimber

I have had four Kimbers since I have been owning firearms. I have two of them still today. All four Kimbers that I have owned have been very reliable. All of the models I have owned have been .45 cal and I have never had any FTF or FTE from any of them. It does take around 500 rounds to get the Kimbers working perfectly, but they get better the more you shoot them. I currently own a Super Carry Pro and a Super Carry Pro HD.
  18. Hello MacGyver I went to Midway link you sent me and that looks like what I need. Thank you so much for all you help. I was 10 years old when my dad first purchased the gun, but I believe the plug did come with the shotgun. Believe me the shotgun looks just like it did in 1963.
  19. Hello JimmyMac483 It is not part #52. It is a wood plug that would allow only 3 shells in the shotgun at a time.
  20. I have a 1963 Browning Belgium Sweet Sixteen Shotgun that I inherited from my late Father. The gun is in the same condition today as it was when purchased in 1963. It is missing the magazine plug. Does anyone know were I can locate a magazine plug for this shotgun. Thank you.
  21. My first handgun was the CZ 75 P-07 Duty. I do not have the gun anymore and sometimes I regret selling it. This was the handgun I took my CCW permit with and I shot 100%. The gun was very accurate. The reason I sold the gun was some of the same reasons Smith had; lack of holsters, parts, and I was not accustom the SA/DA trigger at the time.
  22. Thanks bkelm18 great websit.
  23. I will be driving through Kentucky going to Indiana next week and wanted to make sure my Tennessee permit is ok in these states.
  24. I have been carrying in Walmart for years without any problems. I carry a full size Glock 22 Gen 4 in a crossbreed holster with an open shirt on. My handgun can be seen at times. I have also seen several people carrying open at the Walmart in Bartlett, TN on 64 an no one said anything. I followed one guy for awhile to see if anyone reacted to him carrying open and no one in the store blinked an eye.
  25. After a lot of research and listening to all of you I went to the gun shop today and purchased a Smith & Wesson 442 Airweight w/o the lock. I went to the range and put 50 rounds down range and the gun performed wonderfully. I am very happy with my purchase and now I need to look for a good pocket holster. Thanks for all your help in making my decision on this purchase.
