  2. Mikey sold it to me. I sent it to the factory and they basically sent me a new one. Everything was new except the serial number when I got it back. They even gave me 2 new mags, sling, sling swivels, new box.Great customer service!
  3. This EMP just came up for sale in case anyone else is looking for one. http://www.golsn.com/listings/outdoor_adventure/firearms/591585.html
  4. David, How about a write up about the event for those of us who don't know what to expect? How much it costs. Door prizes, auctions etc. Thanks, Mike(NRA Life Member)
  5. Just don't ever drop you Gold Cup on the rear sight. Yes, I did. Even in a soft case, it bent the Ellison rear sight. They wanted like $150 for a new one. I think I ended up getting a Millet that looked identical for about $50. You might try Millet for the pin.
  6. jth, I went and looked at my 70 Series Gold Cup and its not a roll pin. Its solid. I guess spring tension from the sight holds it in. Don't know if they changed the pin in the 80 series. Mike
  7. I have my Dads 98 Mauser in 8mm. Back in the 60's, we went through the Sears catalog and picked out two of them. Ordered them by mail and a few days later when I got home from school, there they were. Waiting on the front porch where the mailman had left them. Complete with ammo. A few years later, I traded mine off. Always hated that I did that. I got Dads when he passed away. Of course, this one would never leave the family now.
  8. Here's mine. Nothing fancy. Adams and Bennett barrel, Hougue stock, Weaver 2x7 Wideview scope.
  9. It seems to me, that what may be a good deal on a FTF deal, suddenly becomes a bad deal when you add in all the associated fees of a FFL transfer. So, who pays for this? Buyer? Seller? Just my $.02.
  10. That was a truly great show. Sorry to see it go. My wife never got it, though.
  11. Bump so everyone will know about it. See you there. I'll look for TGO hats.
  12. Steve Gill interviewed Ronnie Barrett of Barrett Firearms and he said he would be there. Maybe have some of his .50's on display?
  13. Anyone here planning on going to the 2nd Amendment Shoot tomorrow(Saturday) at On Target in the 'Boro? I've been hearing Steve Gill promoting it. Its sponsored by the Republican Party of Rutherford County. From the website: The 2nd Amendment Shooting Competition Shooting competition, tailgating, and lunch Saturday, November 1, 2008 (10:30 AM - 2:00 PM) Location: On Target Shooting Range 915 N Thompson Lane Murfreesboro, TN 37129 Saturday Nov 1st, 10:30AM-2:00PM
  14. I was having the same problem. Go to user CP, edit options, and check the box to put sent messages in your sent box. Fixed mine, hope this helps.
  15. My EOThingy fell off during a string of fire one day. I had not used Loctite, but I do now. Seems like Todd got a good laugh out of that.
  16. 10 Gauge Magnum double barrel shotgun with 18" barrels. Shot both barrels at the same time once.
  17. Ammoguide.com wanted me to "subscribe" before it would let me see any load data.
  18. Try this link. http://www.gunshows-usa.com/tennesee.htm Looks like Nashville and Smyrna have one.
  19. For my .44 cowboy action shooting loads, I ran 5.7gr of Accurate #5 behind a 210 gr RNFP Cast bullet. It was a nice mild load and shot to point of aim in my Ruger Vaquero and Marlin Cowboy rifle. YMMV.
  20. I want those 4 minutes of my life back. What a let down!
  21. Nice collection. Do you know the history of the Bugs Bunny on the holster flap?
