  1. I use the Lee Trimmers in my cordless drill. Works fast and easy on .308's.
  2. That was me. It shot great in my Ruger MKIII Hunter, but would not shoot in my Ruger 22/45. Go figure! Seriously, thanks for the ammo. I shared it with the lady with the new Sig Mosquito and I think it ran ok for her too. Coop
  3. My 22/45 has had the same brand problems. It runs great on Federal Bulk Pack or Remington Thunderbolts, but put Winchester in it and it won't feed the second round. The second round takes a nose dive into the bottom of the ramp and deforms. Change back to Fed or Rem on the same mag, no problems.
  4. Dave, Check your powder amount per shell. You have 88.8 grains per shell. At 19.5 gr per shell, the end result is much lower. And yes, your shot cost is driving it up also. When shot was $20 a bag, it made more sense. Mike
  5. David, Try this shotshell cost calculator. http://www.ewrg.org/sscalc.html I put in some basic numbers and it figured to cost almost $5 a box to reload at todays inflated component cost. I still have a lot of lower priced components and it costs me about $3.93 a box.
  6. Here is a nice little reloading cost calculator in Excel. www.bghi.us/reloading/reload_calc.xls Or an online one if you don't want to download the one above. http://www.handloads.com/calc/loadingCosts.asp
  7. That is hilarious!!!! Copied it for everyone else. My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it.
  8. So what keeps the trigger from accidentally getting pulled while its in your pants?
  9. Even Dirty Harry carried .44 Specials.
  10. They seem to have a lifetime warranty that may cover it. Try here. http://www.charlesdaly.com/warranty.asp
  11. Here is a great local source for first aid and survival equipment. Located in Nashville. http://www.lifeviewoutdoors.com/ They also have a really good DVD on survival called "Prepared To Survive". Be sure to check them out. They are good folks with fast shipping.

The Box of Truth test left me with doubts as to the effectiveness of .410 as a defensive round. Read what they said: http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot41_4.htm Lessons learned: 1. Jack bought this pistol for snakes and it looks like a fine tool for that job. 2. Birdshot, in any gauge, is for little birds. 3. Buckshot out of a .410 does not penetrate enough to be an effective personal defense load. 4. The rifled slug was also a disappointment and did not have enough weight or power or penetration to be effective as a defense load. 5. The .45 Long Colt loads had plenty of penetration and would be the preferred defense load for this pistol. 6. It's fun to bust clays with this pistol. And, as usual, it's always fun to shoot stuff.
  13. I gave my daughter in law a Glock 19, sent her to CIS for the Handgun Permit Class, and she loves it.
  14. By my calender, you are either a few weeks late or a few years. Wasn't that long ago that it was $89 a thousand.
  15. I'm from the Boro, and have carried for the last 25 years. Never heard anything about that. Maybe he meant on the MTSU campus.
  16. I must be too old to "get it". I watched the trailer and still didn't get it.
  17. That sure looks like it, but I haven't found anyone here or anywhere else with anything good to say about it. I think I'll probably pass on the trade. Thanks.
  18. I'm beginning to think that it might be a model 102.Check out this ad.
