  1. Joe, Is it hard to find the "proper" scope rings to fit the 452? I really don't want to spend $90 on rings. Mike
  2. Anyone here have a CZ bolt action rifle. I saw one at a local shop and after handling it, I knew I had to have it. It didn't feel like a cheap .22. It felt like a big game rifle. The bolt worked smoothly, the stock had nice wood, and it hefted like a big rifle. So now I'm trying to sell some things to be able to go get it. Am I nuts? Or am I right that it is a great rifle. Opinions?
  3. Man! If I ever see you in person, I'll give you some .38's. You need at least a reload!
  4. Blazer is great ammo. Thousands of rounds fired with no problems.

    Mak-90 value?

If its an un-converted thumbhole stock model, I'd say about $500 plus OI is about right. The Mak90 has a thicker receiver than the others and is said to hold up really well. It has a better stock trigger too.
  6. Yes, that is James Yeagers store. Is that a problem?
  7. Tactical Response Gear 3350 Hwy. 70 East Camden, TN 38320 866-TAC-GEAR Gear@TacticalResponse.com
  8. Don't know about that one, but if you are in Camden, stop by Tactical Response Gear. They have a lot of cool stuff(AR's, AK's, ammo, etc).
  9. Good explanation glockster. I had problems one time with the 550 gr FN bullets hitting the target sideways at 25 yards out of my Sharps. Those bullets were extremely long. Went back to the 405's and it shot great.
  10. Hey, that's nice! I know she will love it. Will probably put Hanna Montana stickers on the stock.
  11. So how about an after action report. Who was there and what was shot? Inquiring minds want to know.
  12. I have a Taurus Tracker .44 that I've owned for about 6 months. It's a fun to shoot gun with .44 Special handloads. I've only shot 5 rounds of factory .44 Magnums out of it. My hand and forearm hurt for several minutes afterward. It's pretty light for the magnums. The porting in the barrel seems to work well. They keep the barrel down pretty good for follow up shots. One unusual thing is the last inch of barrel where the ports are is not really barrel. It's more like a "chamber". It opens up in there and is not rifled, so in my 4 inch, you are really only getting about 3 inches of barrel length. If you want a longer barrel one for hunting, the extra weight will probably help tame the magnums. I'm going to stick to lighter handloads for plinking and targets. Mike
  13. Does anyone have any "Hello my name is" stickers? We don't all have TGO hats yet.
  14. What is On Target charging these days for range time?
  15. The slant cut brake is left hand threads and is indexed by a spring loaded pin in a notch in the brake. Push the pin in and turn it to the right. Should screw right off. There are a number of replacement brakes available.
  16. It's usually a good show. Come on down.
  17. I wrote Bart Gordon today. He has been pretty supportive of 2nd Amendment rights. Lets hope so now more than ever.
  18. Jason, I installed my own on my 228, but the process was made much simpler with a Sig sight pusher. If you go to the Sigforum, there is a loaner network of folks that will loan you a sight pusher. Piece of cake with that and you don't take a chance of breaking something with your hammer.
  19. I can't stand either one of them. That's what the remote is for.
  20. Still looking for an extra MN tool. Surely some of our MN gurus have an extra one to sell me. Thanks, Mike
  21. I use AA 5 for all my pistol loads. I used to load hundreds of 44spl for cowboy shooting and it was a good powder for that.Loaded 9mm and 38spl with it too. For most of my rifles, I like Winchester 748. It flows well in the powder measure and is very consistent. I've heard it works well in .223/5.56 also.
  22. I started with a single stage RCBS Jr. press. When I decided I needed to load a lot of rounds fast, I upgraded to the progressive. I still have the single stage for precision rifle rounds.
