  1. That was the worst gun show I've ever been to. Very narrow isles, people elbow to elbow, not many parts and accessories, no reloading supplies, very little ammo. A waste of my time and money to go.
  2. I went to the last one and will be at this one too. Great show if you like buying from individuals. It seems like everybody had a gun to sell. I'll be there wearing a black Federal ammo hat. Say hello if you see me.
  3. Reloaders Bench in Mt Juliet usually has plenty.
  4. I use Unique and Accurate #5 for all those.

    Job leads?

    Anybody need an jet pilot????
  6. I have a DS lower and it does a good job for me. I use it on my .22LR upper.
  7. I think the camera motorcycles need something on them to push the fans back to the side of the road. Maybe pepper spray?
  8. My brother that lives in Crossville is meeting me there to GIVE me a riding mower. Have to go for that!
  9. I can't make it either this time. I have to go to the Sparta Gun Show and pick up a lawn mower. Really! See you all next month.
  10. Bringing back to life a 16 month old thread. May be a new record.
  11. I spoke to the manager on Tuesday about this. She rambleled on for 10 minutes trying to tell me why they posted, but none of it made any sense. Something about a bar next door, and people coming in from the bar. Made no sense to me. She did tell me that her signs did not meet the State standards, so they really didn't mean anything to the HCP carrier. I told her that our group that eats there every week, will not be back until the signs come down.
  12. I'm still shooting 7.62x51 from 1968.
  13. Good ad!
  14. Steve Gill put a scare into him for a short while, when he almost beat him.
  15. They recently forced a local website to drop all its firearm related ads. Google was a paid advertiser on the site. Either the references to guns went, or Google was going to pull all its paid advertising. Since Google was the biggest cash producer for the site, they had no choice but to pull all the firearms ads.
  16. I don't use Google anymore due to their anti-gun policies. I use Ask.com now and though not quite as good as Google, I feel better using them.
  17. A compressed spring propels a piston, which pushes the air into the barrel/chamber. Here is a simple diagram.
  18. I'd sure like to hear how the dual caliber Beeman works out. I've been thinking about that one too. I've heard it weighs almost 10 pounds? Mike
  19. Wow! I think that might be a bit much for shooting in my backyard though.
  20. While on vacation last week in Florida, I ran into a group of retired folks that shoot air gun matches on a weekly basis. They had a simple 10 meter range, that used hanging sheets of what looked like roofing underlayment as the backstop. The pellets just hit and dropped. Most were shooting either single stroke pneumatic or CO2 rifles and pistols. I got to test shoot a ssp Daisy 747 pistol. I was surprised at how quiet, smooth and accurate it was. I'm thinking of setting up a 10m range in my back yard to practice with. Anybody else do this or have any airgun recommendations?
  21. Military cases are GTG. That's all I load. Winchester 748 is a great .308 powder.
  22. The Lee Loader is what I started with 30 years ago. You probably won't be satisfied with it for long. Spend a little more initially and you will have less frustrations. The Lee Loader does load good ammo. Just very slowly. There is a lot of used loading equipment out there, too. Good luck and have fun!
  23. No problems here with FF. Been using it here for years.
