  1. So, did a TGO person win the rifle drawing?
  2. Never mind, I just read the whole thing. This is just a fund raiser for her.
  3. Thanks David. That helped me plan my day.
  4. Is there a schedule of who is speaking when? We may not want to stand around for the full 4 hours.
  5. Go to the mountains. If you've seen one ocean, you've seen them all.
  6. Front Sight assets seized Posted on Saturday, May 16, 2009 6:24:22 AM by rellimpank At 11 a.m. Monday, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and its president, Ignatius Piazza, went into receivership. All financial transactions involving the firearms training facility -- from accepting payment for classes to paying staff and vendors -- must take place through a court-appointed administrator. The facility and all assets have been seized by the court, down to the hundreds of firearms included as part of new members' benefits. However, despite the ruling, this weekend at Front Sight everything was "business as usual," according to Operations Manager Rick Morello. He said he knew nothing about the legal proceedings. "We have a big weekend coming up with a full schedule of classes," Morello said. "Business is booming." The ruling, handed down by U.S. District Judge James Ware in San Jose, Calif., had its beginning in November 2005 when Stacy James, Bill Haag and Michael Schriber filed a class action suit against Piazza on behalf of themselves and other qualified Front Sight members.
  7. NO. You need a "Go" gauge and a "No Go" gauge. If it closes on a round, it can still have excess headspace and a dangerous situation. Here is a good article on headspacing. http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/headspace/index.asp
  8. They are good bullets. Caleb was shooting them in his 30-30 and they shot well. Thanks again, TDR!
  9. I went today. Not a bad show, but smaller than the last one at the Ag Center. The upper deck vendors only went about half way around. The floor vendors were about half of the lower floor. Lots of AR's at some pretty good prices. Saw one vendor that had DoubleStar AR's out the door for less than $800. He had DS stripped lowers for $99. One dealer had AR kits(less the lower) for about $550. One vendor with reloading supplies. Lots of powder and bullets, not many primers. For the Sig guys, saw a couple of the new 380 Sigs. Lots of talk about the Bloomberg tapes. Some of the true private sales guys(5-10 guns on table), were saying how the guys with 100 new guns on their tables couldn't be private sale and maybe ought to be busted. All in all not bad. Had some really good jerkey and kettle corn. Mike
  10. Oh, that 19.
  11. I use Lee dies almost exclusively and am very happy with them. I had a Lee 1000 Progressive press for several years. I didn't load a lot on it because of the problems with the primer feed system. It was always sticking primers in sideways or not at all. I finally just started using it as a single stage with auto case feed for my 9mm. Worked well for that. I did sell it last summer to someone who just had to have it. I'll continue to buy Lee dies, trimmers, etc, but not a progressive press. They just don't seem to get it when it comes to presses.
  12. She is conservative, has been the organizer of the Murfreesboro area Tea Parties. She is pro-second Ammendment. I hope that she can defeat Bart!
  13. Maybe you could bring it to a Meet and Shoot sometime. I have a few extra rounds.
  14. Dave, How do you like the .223 pistol? Is the muzzle blast pretty fierce?
  15. +1 on the Kahr's. My PM9 and CW45 are both very smooth.
  16. I wonder how much flame would come out of the sight hole when fired? I suspect it will cost much more than it is worth to fix it. Unless you could JB Weld the hole?
  17. Looks like the front sight is on backwards.
  18. Ok, I'll be there with a guest. See you all there.
  19. That's really neat. But $60.00?????????
  20. I finally quit reading that thread. Did he get banned or something?
  21. So what about it. Is Halloween the day? Jason, can you put up a poll or something for the 31st?
  22. Welcome from the 'Boro.
  23. Welcome from the 'Boro. You have come to the right place.
  24. Good looking holster. But for $60 I would think there are better options out there. Here is a pic for everyone else.
