  1. I used to wear one back in the 70's. But everybody did back then. I finally realized that they are slow to draw from, the pistol is always pointed in the wrong direction, and its easy to accidentally point it at someone while drawing. The horizontal shoulder holsters are always pointing at someone. I've gone to appendix carry and am very happy with that.
  2. Well, for 230 gr loads I use Accurate #5 or Unique. Bullseye is also a popular powder. Unique is hard to beat.
  3. David, Great pics! I really like the B24. I met Pony many years ago when he had RAMO. He took me to a warehouse and showed me his halftrack collection. But he was most proud of the Browning 50 he took out of the crashed B24 in Libya.
  4. Welcome from Murfreesboro.
  5. I tried a Monte Carlo style hunting stock on my Norinco for a while. Didn't care for it and went back to the standard stock. I like the shorter length of pull of the factory stock. YMMV. As to fit, it dropped right in.
  6. I have a friend in McMinnville who is making custom kydex holsters for the PK380. PM me if you want his contact info.
  7. Make sure the gas port on the barrel is not clogged up. Just something else to check.
  8. I think the original poster was wanting to hunt coyotes with his and wasn't really interested in the combat applications. That is unless the coyotes are shooting back.
  9. Welcome from the 'Boro.
  10. Let us know what you get quoted for the job. The last time I got a quote on a reblue, it was more than the pistol was worth!
  11. Did you save the weight? That can cast one or two boolits!
  12. Life Member since the 80's.
  13. I have a lot of respect for the VFD guys here in Rutherford County. We are in the Kittrell fire area, and the guys in that department do a great job.
  14. This is a great idea. I hope someone will put one together for the folks closer to Nashville.
  15. Shot at while on duty as a police officer before the bullet resistant vest was in use.
  16. Welcome from the 'Boro.
  17. I like jacketed, but the price keeps me from buying them except for high velocity rifle loads. I cast my own lead for .38, 9mm, .44 and .45. Keep the velocities within reason and leading will not be a problem.
  18. Just got a Bass Pro Shop flyer in the mail that has Hornady Varmint Express V-Max ammo in .223 and .22-250 on sale for $14.94 a box. Both with the 55 grain V-Max bullet. Looks like a good price on premium ammo for those who don't reload.
  19. Don't try to pull brass out of the buckets at the Hobson Pike range! They are very protective of it. They say once it goes in the bucket, it belongs to them. I just ask the person next to me if I can have their brass before it goes in "their" bucket.
  20. That's the neat thing about reloading. I've taken someones proven recipe for their gun and it would shoot lousy in mine. Change just some small thing like crimp or .10 of a grain on the powder and it suddenly works. You have to be willing to put the time and effort into it or you might as well shoot factory loads.
  21. "There will be a heightened level of security for the event. No food, drinks, backpacks or bags will be permitted in the Student Life Center ballroom. Purses will be permitted. All attendees are subject to searches and/or pat downs and anyone can be refused entry without explanation." No thanks. He would probably be interesting to hear though.
  22. Cast your own bullets, use range pick up brass, and it really gets cheap!
