  1. I have two BladeTech holsters and they are great quality. I have a slightly different tuckable than the UCR. Got it through Brownells.
  2. Just looked at your user name. Are you a pilot?
  3. The manager guy has the personality of a rock. I can never get more than a grunt out of him. The lady is usually very nice and helpful. I can't believe they talked you out of a sale. Or they were just trying to sell you some leather $$$$$. I have dyed several holsters and have never had any "integrity" problems. I vote for "go for it"!!!! Coop
  4. Welcome from the 'Boro.
  5. +100 Tandy will take care of you. If you want it to have a shine to it after you dye it, get some "Super Sheen" while you are there.
  6. Hello Barry and welcome from another 'Boro pilot.
  7. Beckers are now made in the KaBar factory. They are very moderately priced. I have 3 of them.
  8. Here are some pictures of an easy to make sight pusher. It uses aluminum bar stock and a brass screw as the pusher.
  9. I would not buy from someone who had obviously been down to Wally World and bought all the ammo they had, then try to sell it for a profit. I believe it is ok to stock up on ammo, but the hoarders were much of the problem during the "ammo shortage". I think someone was just bragging about buying all the 380 at WalMart. Don't know if he needed that much, or was just buying all of it to keep anyone else from buying it. That would be hoarding. Just my $.02.
  10. I'm shooting a Marlin 1895ss and using the Lee 340gr with 25.0 gr of 5744. It chrono's at 1200fps and doesn't kick the crap out of me. It is my deer load and should be plenty strong enough for any Tennessee deer out to 130 yards. For my 30-30 I'm casting a 173 gr Lyman FP that does well either for plinking or hunting. Can't recall the powder I'm using.
  11. Ok, why are the externals bad? Just wondering.
  12. Anybody else get their Midway Master Catalog today? It looks great as usual. 970 pages of shooting stuff to max out the credit cards on.
  13. Oh crap! Just saw the dates for this. I guess I can forget using I-24 to go to Chattanooga that weekend! Do they still have traffic back ups for miles?
  14. One of my red dots has a sun filter that screws in the objective end to make the dot brighter in daylight. Works good. I think it is a Tasco.
  15. Did you ever find what you wanted? My friend said you didn't call.
  16. Well everybody knows that the Titleist has the best BC. Unless you want to shoot the cheap white box Top Flites.
  17. I think TGO David has one.
  18. I have a friend over by McMinnville that could make you one out of Kydex, as long as he could use the light to mold it with. PM me if interested.
  19. Leupold= Arm + Leg. Try one of the Tasco 6x24x40's. Has really good clarity up to about 20x and won't cost you a limb.
  20. Glad to see that some of you actually get out and hunt, not just talk about it. Good shooting and two less predators to worry about.
  21. So by your logic, I could come up to you and point my pistol at your head. Don't worry, the safety is on and my finger is off the trigger. It won't go off.
  22. Not worried about it if I can't see it. Walked up behind a guy in line at a fast food place. He had taken his jacket off and I was looking down the barrel of his gun. Not good PR since he was a police detective. If you want to carry that way, keep it covered.
  23. Did you get a cheeseburger at Billy's while in Jackson Hole?
  24. In all my years of shooting AR's, I've never used it. If a round doesn't want to chamber, why would I want to force it in? And then if it doesn't fire, how do I get it out. Maybe a good idea for the dusty dirty battlefield, but I'd rather have a slick side receiver.
  25. How about this one: NOVAK 1911 TACTICAL LIGHT RAIL Or this one: D&L Sports, inc. 1911 Light Mounting Rail
