  1. I'd say, consult the manufacturer for their recommendations. I only change recoil springs in my Colt when it starts throwing brass further than usual.
  2. Works better with sound.
  3. I normally am open on Saturdays, but you picked the week I'm having a family vacation.
  4. I vote for Sunday the 20th. Only day of those listed that I have available.
  5. That's a lot of money just to get a rotating gun rack inside. I bet a good fire rated safe AND a separate insurance policy would be a lot cheaper.
  6. As of yesterday's posting, here is the box contents: I have taken the Don Hume holster and add 6 boxes once fired Winchester 30-30 brass Contents include: Two new Magpul anti-tilt followers for 30rd AR-15 Mags Kydex Mag pouch for .22 (marked Beretta 22A) Kydex shotshell holder for belt Kydex Pepper spray pouch (might hold other stuff too) Pair of genuine (or maybe not) pearl grips for a small revolver Lee Chamfer Tool Lee Primer Pocket Cleaner Hoppes Flexible Shotgun Chamber Cleaning Rod AR-15 Chamber Brush Standard AR-15 pistol grip Nylon slip-over-stock ammo holder Tagua Leathers holster for The Judge. This is specifically for the 3 inch CHAMBER (not barrel) model. 20 gauge brass brush, and wool mop
  7. This box needs to stay intact. If he wants the box and agrees to PIF it, then he should have it. If he only wants the holster, then he can't have the box. Just my opinion, but that is what is intended in this PIF. The box is all or nothing.
  8. Did Cat Daddy want the whole box or just the holster? Does he know what he is committing to?
  9. People still go to concerts?
  10. I have an 1895SS. This is the older brother of the Guide Gun. Longer barrel and a 4 round tube. I put a Williams receiver sight on it. Installed a much thicker recoil pad and I was good to go. With the 45-70, it makes good sense to handload. I shoot mostly a cast 340 gr RNFP boolit that I cast myself. I have shot up to a 570 gr missile shaped boolit, but that one kicks like crazy and won't feed from the tube. My TN deer load uses the 340 loaded to about 1200 fps. That gives plenty of knockdown on the deer, without punishing my shoulder. I say go for it. The 45-70 Marlin is tough, and with proper handloads, can take game from squirrels to griz.
  11. I didn't watch the video posted above. It may have been a good video. It's just that I have gotten tired of listening to nutenfancy talk on and on and on about what a good piece of gear he is testing. He must know that a lot of people don't like his videos, as he always has the responses disabled on his vids.
  12. I can't stand his videos. He talks on and on about everything. He seems to like to hear himself talk. His 30 minute vids could be done in 10. Just my opinion.
  13. Here is his website. Your Contribution is Appreciated.
  14. Have you thought about going to cast bullets for range work? Lee makes a .356-102gr mold that turns out nice round nose boolits. I borrowed one a couple of years ago and cast some up. They shot good in my Bersa. I use the Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die for all my .380's and have never had any setback problems. Good luck with the .380's.
  15. The site runs fine for me, just slower than it used to be. I'm using Firefox.
  16. Welcome from the 'Boro also.
  17. That's an amazing pic, but could you see even one person in the photo? I couldn't.
  18. I believe the OP said he was in the far RIGHT lane, not the passing lane.
  19. I've been a life member of the NRA since 1980. I never receive any junk mail or calls. I guess I opted out of them at some point.
  20. +1 for H for H. They have a retail store in Murfreesboro. Don't know about your area.
  21. I smile and wave at those kind of folks. Seems to make them even madder if you don't get mad.
  22. I didn't realize it would turn out to be so complicated when I started this box!
  23. Alright!!! This thread is going again.
  24. In the video, I think he says they left out the fire protection. Said something like, Do you want to shoot a gun that got up to 350 degrees in a fire? Personally, I want as much fire protection as I can get, especially for all the non-gun things in the safe.
