  1. Does anybody read the whole thread anymore? No you can't. See post #473 "First, there is no "list" to speak of. It is first come first served. Whoever sees the box first, when it is listed in this thread, and posts that they want it, in this thread, will be the next person the box is shipped to. The items stay in the box until someone who has the box removes an item(s) for themselves. Then, they must replace that item(s) with another item(s). The total number of items must always stay the same, or increase in the odd circumstance, but it should never decrease. The items should stay together until the receiver of the box removes an item(s) that they want. I have yet to receive the box, and as of yet have no interest in it. I can, however, understand the rules the PIF box. Mike is right, it's not that complicated. "
  2. Be careful of your environment while using any electronic scale. Any air movement will cause the scale to fluctuate by several tenths. My nephew has one of the cheaper ones sold by Midway and it does a good job. The only bad thing is the auto shut off is set too short for him.
  3. I had a root ball the size of a basketball clogging my intake pipe to the tank. Just had to get my septic tank pump guy to pump, then saw the roots out. They are tough. Put pellet sized salt around your tank and pipe to discourage the roots from trying to get in. My roots were mostly coming from a nearby Crepe Myrtle bush. Here are the roots. And no backhoe required here. My guy dug with shovel and used hand tools to lift the lid.
  4. I've never seen a shoot in Viola before. That is a good range and I shoot there sometimes. Keep us posted if you have another organized shoot.
  5. They are usually at Owl Hollow, near I65, south of Nashville.
  6. Are you going to camo the stock for coyote hunting?
  7. He wasn't innocent. He was trying to keep her from stealing his vehicle.
  8. Who were the guys in the van doing the drive by? I must have missed something.
  9. It is about time for a TGO Meet and Shoot. We used to have them almost every month, but then they stopped. Too hot over the summer to do it, but now the wx is getting good.
  10. Win 748 for me too with either 55 or 62 gr bullets.
  11. I love shooting Trail Boss, but never tried it in shotshells. Works great in my 45/70 though.
  12. Practice on something cheap first!
  13. You need to PM TGO David and tell him it was mailed. He doesn't check the PO box unlesss you tell him it's coming. I did the same thing.
  14. What is the base cartridge for the 458? What did they reform or cut down to make it?
  15. Get a wrench and an instructor. Both money well spent.
  16. Too bad he didn't advertise it here on TGO. Would have sold much quicker.
  17. We need more Joe's! And I don't understand the wording of your poll, so didn't vote.
  18. Last time I got a quote on reblueing a Single Six her in Murfreesboro, they wanted more than I paid for the pistol. $125 I believe. I went the cold blue in a bottle route and it looked fine.
  19. So is this for members only, or can anyone shoot? Cost to shoot? Time?
  20. Lester, Here are the plans to make a remote switch to plug into your Chrony remote display. It will then show you all kinds of good info. Avg velocity, high velocity, low velocity, standard deviation, etc. Easy and cheap to make one. I used an old stereo headphone to get the cord and plug. Bought a momentary switch at Radio Shack for a couple of bucks and housed it in an old 35mm film can(free). Works great! nopLabs, Shooting Chrony Remote Control
  21. My Chrony has a remote display that sits on the bench with me. And a remote control.
