  1. Who is carrying these locally and how much? I AM going to buy one in the next 2 weeks.
  2. This is me shooting my AR with .22 conversion kit in it.
  3. After shooting Paletiger's AR pistol, I'm looking for an excuse to have one.
  4. It was a great shoot. Lots of new faces and a few familiar ones too. Here are some of the pics I took. Ok, that is all I have. I know there were a couple more cameras there so let's see them.
  5. I don't hate them. I really like them. They are a great truck gun/trunk gun. If they get a little scratched up, so what. They were made for combat.
  6. Glad to hear that. I've asked for one of those for my birthday.
  7. I don't have a problem paying a little more for an item at a "mom and pop" store. Especially if they are nice folks. I'll pay right up to and including MSRP. It's when I feel I've been really screwed that I get mad and won't go back.
  8. I'd guess about $400. More if it hadn't been refinished and had original grips.
  9. Don't forget to bring a camera. Everybody that misses this event will want to see how much fun we had!
  10. Did you get many steel weights this time? The last bucket I got had a lot of steel in it.
  11. That seems to be the trend a BPS these days. I went in to buy an inexpensive scope and was talked out of it by the salesman. It was their brand and in stock. He was too busy trying to upsell me a Nikon or Leupold to sell me a $70 scope. I went to another store and bought the same scope for $53. I don't understand them. Sell the customer what he wants, not what you have a lot of in stock and need to move.
  12. No, but could have walked into Kano Labs in Nashville and bought it for $7. And who can just order one item from Midway? I can't.
  13. I went to a local gun shop yesterday to browse and pick up a few things. This shop happens to be in Lebanon. Saw that they had Kroil in the 8oz can. I'd heard good things about Kroil so I bought a can. It was expensive, but I expect to pay a dollar or two more in a local store. It was $16.99 a can plus tax. Today a friend calls and says, "Check out the new Midway flyer that came today. The Kroil you bought yesterday is on sale for $7.59. Turns out the regular retail price is only $9.49. The manufacturer sells it in Nashville for $7 a can. So, to support a local gun shop, I paid a "premium" of $9.99. That's quite a markup! Yes, I should have done my homework and researched the price before I went in. But, I figured I'd have to pay an extra dollar or two for the convenience of buying locally. This same store was $4 a pound higher on Accurate powder than at the Reloaders Bench that I had just come from. And I told them so. Conclusions It is a nice store with nice employees. I probably will go back(but will price check before I go). Don't buy Kroil there. Just my $.02 There, I feel better now.
  14. Well, I hope there isn't a problem. Just bought 1000 SP's yesterday to load .380's with. And they were only $29.95 a thousand.
  15. I'm a huge Pred's fan. Used to sit in the "Cell Block" in section 303. Now just watch from home on TV.
  16. Jon, Call this guy. I bet he can help!
