  1. Looks like a solution to a problem that did not exist. My 1100 loads fine with the factory lifter.
  2. I want to post on behalf of GBowman who received a Kroger card. Gary is not very Internet savvy. He just recently got a computer. So he asked me to post a few thoughts for him. He wants to thank all the TGO members who donated to the PIF. The Kroger card meant so much to him. He is on a limited fixed income, so the Kroger card let him restock his kitchen with many staple items that had run out and not been able to replenished. He wants to try and come to a meet and shoot in the spring so he can meet some of you, too. I spoke with Gary today(every day actually), and he is down with a severe cold or something. Also his back is hurting him all the time. He just takes it one day at a time. So from Gary(and me), thank you for your kind gift this Christmas. Mike
  3. Do the cars still fly off the track a lot?
  4. Keep an eye on the primer feed. I had a 1000 for a while and never got the primers to feed correctly for more than a few at a time. Sideways and upside down mostly. Good luck with yours.
  5. I had a slot car back in the 60's. There was a track at Harding Mall in Nashville. They had several tracks, but the one I remember had a really high banked turn at one end. Wonder what ever happened to my car?
  6. Tried the 50 round ProMag Drum for a while. Never did get it to shoot more than 2 or 3 rounds without jamming. Now I use the Hot Lips or Steel Lips mags with no problems.
  7. +1 ^^^
  8. I'm not sure he has a scale and is trusting the Lee Disk powder measure.
  9. Try not to permanently alter the stock. Those M39's are not as common as most other Mosins.
  10. I tried to watch your video. Got very little from it due to the poor quality of your camera and lighting.
  11. This love/hate for JW seems to be an age difference thing. The younger folks want to go see the movie and don't really care about JW. It's us older folks that grew up with him that seem to have the most respect for him and his acting. As well as his patriotism for the USA.
  12. I won't be going to see it. It just seems wrong to remake such a JW classic. I will watch it on TV when it makes it there.
  13. Why not build a free standing shoot house? My brother and his son built one in their garage, then took it to the woods and put it up on 4x4's, 8 feet in the air. Works great, and you stay warm with the heater fired up.
  14. The 45/70 is my favorite cartridge to reload for. I have a Marlin 1895SS and it is my woods deer rifle. Good with my loads to about 130 yards, then the drop is pretty steep. But I don't load to max velocities either. As light as the handi rifle is, it would need a good recoil pad. The 45/70 is a blast to shoot!
  15. I would hope that a lot of NRA members flooded the inboxes of the school board members and had something to do with the decision too.
  16. I wrote them. I think the best thing she could have done was to keep quiet about it. They were looking/sniffing for drugs, not guns. Probably would not have found it.
  17. That would have been even more awesome with one of those aluminum trees from the 60's! Better thrust to weight ratio.
  18. I kept waiting for something to jump out and scream at me.
  19. The Savage/Stevens line is known for its accuracy and are fairly low priced. Check them out. I had a Savage 308 Tactical that was a tack driver.
  20. This was one of the most fun threads here in a long time.
  21. Fresh ideas are always welcome here. We just sometimes pick on folks that post things that have been worn out by posting here in the past. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.
  22. Welcome from the 'Boro, Stephen.
  23. Always wanted one, but never seemed to run into one when I had the cash. Would like to shoot one sometime. They seem to have a strong following and good reputation. Good luck finding one.
  24. Run it wet or use grease. Either works.
