  1. Store what you eat now. If you like macaroni, store it. If you like chocolate cake, store the ingredients. The whole idea is to store what you use and use what you store. Rotate your stores, first in, first out. Good luck with your food storage. You will be ahead of 90% of the American people.
  2. Found this online in Shooting Times magazine. Savage's AccuTrigger edited to comply with copyright The short answer is no. The receiver is different and Savage won't sell you the trigger.
  3. The thing to do at a training course is shoot cheap, steel case ammo and let it lie. There is not enough time to be worrying about brass.
  4. I've tried a couple of types and the one I like best is the Kydex model that snaps over the top of the receiver. I have one for my AK and it works well. AR15 Accessories
  5. I use Lee molds almost exclusively and have never had a problem with them. Some are 20 years old!
  6. I cast my own .44 and .45 caliber pistol boolits. I also cast .30 and .45 rifle boolits. I don't enjoy the casting as much as I like reloading, but it is the only way I can afford to reload and shoot. I don't count my time involved as I am semi retired/unemployed. I have a friend that gives me the wheel weights. I smelt them about once a year. That part is not much fun. The actual casting, I do about 2 or 3 times a year and make enough to last me till next time.
  7. Call Ruger. They will send you the "new style" hammer pin for free. Mine did the same thing. The new one has a head on it like a nail. My old one backed out on day one of shooting. edit I see yours is a regular MkIII. Mine is a MkIII 22/45. Don't know if the pin situation is the same. Best of luck with it. Make sure the spring fits into the groove in the pin or it will back out.
  8. While you are at the Kabar site, check out the Becker line of knives. Big, strong knives and the price is right too.
  9. When I was a kid, my dad used DDT on everything we grew. Tomato plants, apple trees, etc. Didn't hurt me any(I don't think). Wait! Who are you people? Why are you in my house??? LOL
  10. It looks good, but is expensive!
  11. I liked it in the elimination when the guy emptied his Thompson after he won!
  12. If it was presented in the way you just said, it wouldn't be bad. I get the ones that read," i hve 500 today". No spell check, no signature.
  13. Hey, I like that idea! Then every time they write back, go up on the price.
  14. People that know me well, know that if I price something "Firm", it won't be adjusted. I'm just stubborn enough to put it back in the safe and wait for the next big surge in sales. I know what I have invested, and what I can afford to accept. Anything lower than that and I just can't afford to sell. Besides, we all know what happens when the current administration(who ever it is) utters the words, "Assault Weapons Ban", prices will go up again.
  15. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for haggling when the ad says "OBO". When the ad says "Firm", I don't expect any offers except "I'll take it. Can you meet me Knoxville".
  16. Man, I thought the Twilight Zone was a pretty good movie.
  17. Well, I bought a virgin lower this weekend. It is even marked "PISTOL" on the side. Now just have to sell the full size AR to fund it. JT didn't have any pistol kits this weekend. They said I'd have to order it and they would build it then.
  18. I have something to get off my chest and want opinions from the long time members here. Has anyone else noticed what is happening with some of the new members. I have an item for sale in the classifieds. I may or may not have it priced too high. I have had 3 ridiculous, lowball offers made to me by PM just today! They were all made by members who had either "0" posts or less than 5. I think that we all generally respect each other here, and if someone prices something and lists it as "firm", that is respected. Especially among the veteran members. I expect lowball offers from the folks over on GOC, just not here. Am I out of line or wrong? Opinions please.
  19. I'll take box number 2. PM coming with address.
