  1. I was told by an On Target employee that they do not permit "drawing" your pistol in the class. Apparently, all shooting takes place from a ready position. If I were taking a class, I'd want more than that. Check with CIS. I've heard great things about their classes. In fact, I sent my son and daughter in law through CIS, and they both thought it was great!
  2. I only used a 16" to launch them. They go out of sight and usually can't be found.
  3. It worked a lot better than the A2 suppressor that came on it. It directed the blast forward more.
  4. Here is another use for a golf ball launcher. Taming the muzzle blast on an AR pistol!
  5. My 110 in .25-06 has offset rings. I think one would do, but mine has two. Scope on mine is a Tasco 6x24x40.
  6. They tried that in Nevada. That was the concept for "Front Site". Too bad that the community never got developed. They built the range but nothing else. I think that lawsuits are still going on about that.
  7. Tracy is a really nice lady. I'm sorry for her loss.
  8. The Berdan primers just hit the suppiers here in the States. There is a big thread over on CastBoolits about it. I think that Grafs is carrying them for now.
  9. Hi Jim and Jeremy. Welcome from the 'Boro!
  10. That may be the perfect reason to open carry!
  11. I do what Dolomite says. I pull the FMJ, dump the powder and reload the primed case with whatever kind of powder and bullet(or boolit) that I need. I shoot a lot of cast boolits in my Mosin. I've never had any problems with the corrosive primers as I clean the same day I shoot.
  12. +1 on Dillon and the "No BS Warranty".
  13. The father said that he is an IT guy. I think he should have just put a virus in her computer, and everytime she goes to a website that he has prohibited her from going to, it shuts down and sends him an email or something. I may have taken the computer away from her, but if I had paid for it, I wouldn't shoot it just to make a point.
  14. Sounds like it just keeps the ball from rolling out the end if you get the barrel horizontal or below. The ball is a very loose fit in the tube. It will roll out if you lower the barrel.
  15. I have one. Bought it at the gun show. It screws on. Uses regular blanks. Will shoot a golf ball a lot further than Tiger Woods can hit one! Will also put a nice round hole in 1/4" plywood from 10 yards. Sometimes the ball comes out with an odd spin on it and "hooks or slices". I'm thinking that a piece of duct tape inside the tube could cause it to spin the way I want it to. A back spin would give more altitude and distance, while a topspin makes it dive and gets a lot of ground roll. In all, a lot of fun!
  16. It seems you said it in your first post. I am sorry for your loss.
  17. Welcome Red. It was good to meet you today. I'm enjoying your predator hunting website.
  18. I've been looking at the news reports of this and can't find any mention of a child. The reports all say he was trying to save his girlfriend, but that she had already swam to shore. Maybe I just missed the child being mentioned. I am sorry for your loss. http://www.whnt.com/news/sandmountain/whnt-man-dies-as-he-tries-to-save-girlfriend-from-drowning-20120208,0,4150868.story http://www.newschannel9.com/articles/river-1008859-woman-save.html

  20. I'm all for a free market economy, but when professional scalpers buy up all the tickets in the first 30 seconds, that's not right. What happened to the good old days when folks would stand in line for hours to get tickets? I think technology has hurt the concert ticket business.
  21. I doubt we will hear from the OP again. Just noticed he is in Mass. He is probably just registering at all the gun sites he can just to tell this story. I'm going to Shotgun world and see what he said over there. And to OSR, thanks for coming over to tell your side of the story. I hope this all works out for everyone involved. Edit: Here is the link to the same discussion over on ShotgunWorld. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=280993&start=0
  22. Here is a link to a LDS food storage calculator. Food Storage Calculator If you look on their site, you will find recommendations for methods of storage also. The LDS Church has been preaching food and water storage for over 100 years. They pretty well have it figured out. Here is another version of the calculator that goes into much more depth. http://lds.about.com/library/bl/faq/blcalculator.htm
