  1. I have found that if I leave ammo in a belt pouch like that, the ammo turns green. It is a Bianchi pouch that holds 6 rounds.
  2. I think all the benchrest guys use the bushing type dies. Separate one for neck and body. I just use a Lee collet type in my 223 bolt gun and get good accuracy. I found that seating depth mattered more to my model 12 Savage than whether I full length or neck sized. Good luck with yours.
  3. I just looked at both Bill Goodman and RK schedules. They are not this weekend, but next. March 25-26 https://rkshows.com/events/category/tennessee/ http://www.gunshow.net/default.htm
  4. There is a pretty good little show in Sparta this weekend. And it's only $5 to get in with free parking.
  5. I was at Lebanon Gun Shop on Tuesday looking for the same thing, a 3" Ruger. They didn't have one, but said they always have the LCR in 327 in stock. They sell a lot of them he said. Might give them a call.
  6. No steel at OK. Been asking for some for years. Last steel on pistol range got destroyed by AR shooters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I've been actively looking for a Ruger in 32, but haven't found a used one yet. New ones are way too high. Have been loading 32Longs with various boolits and found that mine really likes a 98gr wadcutter.
  8. You just need a couple more sunshades on that one!
  9. I thought the Murfreesboro show was the worst in years. Huge areas in the building with no tables. The usual big dealer was there. Not much reloading stuff. Plenty of beef jerky, pork rinds and junk knives.
  10. I print those out and give them to folks in line at the show. Once they threatened to ban me from the show when they saw me doing it.
  11. The RK show is $10 also but there is a $2 off coupon online if you can find it.
  12. I don't know why these two don't sit down over lunch one day and plan the gun show schedule for the whole year! It's like they want to make people choose which one they will support. I'd go to both if they were on weekends, 2 weeks apart.
  13. Does anybody here load for any of the 32's? I just got a S&W model 30 in 32 Long and really like it. It is easy to reload and mild to shoot. Been kicking around the idea of getting either a 32Mag or 327Mag so I can shoot all the different 32's. Am kinda drawn to the Ruger SP101. Would like a S&W K frame, but way too expensive for me. Any suggestions?
  14. Standing by............................................
  15. I use an aircraft bearing grease on slide rails and AR bolt carriers, Mobil 1 on the rest of the moving parts. I use Ed's Red for bore cleaning. Has worked well for over 30 years and is cheap to make.
  16. Not a very good pic, but here is my Model 30. Serial number puts it around 1967 I think. Shot it today with some handloads(98gr swc, Win 231). Shot good and to point of aim at 15 yards. Opened it up and it was nice and clean, but had not seen a drop of oil in a long time. Running smooth as a Singer now.
  17. I doubt this little Smith will ever have another factory round through it. Brass should be easy to get. I was just hoping somebody local had some used brass to get me started. I'm sure the Reloaders Bench has Starline.
  18. I paid $375 and it is in excellent condition. May have been too much, but they seem to be going up every time I've checked the last year or so.
  19. Just bought a S&W Model 30 from a friend. Of course I am going to be reloading for it. All the little 32 Smiths I have shot have been great. Not much noise or recoil. Just a pleasant revolver to shoot. Does anybody know who locally has some 32 S&W Long brass for sale. Doesn't have to be new. Used brass is fine. If I can scrounge up about 100 rounds, it should last me almost forever. Will be loading light, plinking loads. Also need to find my own set of dies. Will be borrowing a set from time to time till I get mine. Any load recommendations? I plan on using a 98 gr SWC. I've heard that 231 and Bullseye are great in this case. Also Red Dot, Green Dot and Trail Boss. Thanks!
  20. You should notify on first contact(phone/email). It will save both of you a lot of time.
  21. I wanted a 550 because I did not want automatic advance. I can go as slow as I need to on the 550 and not feel rushed, but go fast if I want to.
  22. If you pull out a bill of sale without telling me, I'm walking away! Not required.
