  1. I use old T shirts and cut them up with a paper cutter. The big ones with the big cutting arm that comes down. Can cut many layers of cloth at one time.
  2. I clean mine out with a bottle brush and alcohol ever so often. I load only lead boolits and get a bit of Alox up in my seating dies.
  3. Welcome from the 'Boro. Glad to hear that you will have a place to shoot down this way. I had a Llama 380 about 35 years ago. I remember it as a pretty good little gun.
  4. It's funny how people gripe about too much freebore on some barrels and not enough on others. I adjust my reloads to fit whatever gun/barrel I'm shooting out of. If it means that I have to run one seating depth in one gun and longer in another, I'm ok with that.
  5. If I remember my model 29 from the 70's, it came with an aluminum cleaning rod, brush, cotton swab and a flat blade screwdriver with a silver handle. Here it is:
  6. My reloads chamber just fine in the LW. I thought I might have trouble with a tight chamber, as I run my 9 with .358 diameter boolits.
  7. I wonder if by taking the lighter colors out, if you won't "blob" when seen from a distance. Meaning just look like a dark blob.
  8. I bought the Lone Wolf for my 19. Also use it in the 26. Works well with my cast boolit loads(all I shoot anymore). I chose LW strictly on the price difference. $112 from Midway. You will have to have two different barrels for your 19 and 17 I've heard.
  9. I shoot COWW that are water dropped so they are pretty hard. I have no leading problems in my 45 at moderate velocities. I'm shooting them "as cast" and they drop out at .452.
  10. I wanted a 22 Hornet until I learned how to load my .223 down to Hornet velocities. I shoot those in my Contender.
  11. John makes some tough gear! I bet you can't wear it out.
  12. I pulled a couple of my .358 Lee 124 TL boolits to measure them. Still .358 even after being crimped. COWW water dropped.
  13. A friend of mine got a letter last week saying his doctor was closing up last Friday due to not enough income to pay the bills. Plenty of patients, not enough Medicare payments.
  14. I load the Lee 356-124 RN in my 9mm. They drop at .358. I load them "as cast". They load fine in the case, pass the "plunk test", and shoot good. I'm shooting a Glock with a Lone Wolf barrel. They also shot fine in my stock Glock barrel. I'd say give them a try. If they will chamber, they will shoot.
  15. Here is 4 boxes for sale on GOC. http://www.gunownersclub.com/listings/ammunition/handguns/218951.html BRAND NEW, 4 BOXES WITH 50 IN EACH BOX, 200 TOTAL ROUNDS, 45 GAP FOR CENTERFIRE PISTOL AND REVOLVER, $125 FOR ALL.
  16. To the OP, I see you have a Lee 1000. Be careful and don't waste any of your valuable primers. The 1000 primer system is known for failing or at least jamming up the works. I've heard that you need to polish the feed ramp that the primers slide down to make it work. And keep the hopper full. Google Lee 1000 primer problems for more info.   I sold my 1000 a few years back. I got tired of fighting it all the time. Bought a Dillon. Good luck with yours.
  17. Your barrel must be 16" or longer to use a shoulder stock. If you put your 14" on with it, it is a SBR and is illegal without a ATF tax stamp.   Check out this site:   http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php?board=24.0   The stickys at the top of the page will answer any question you may have about Contenders.
  18. I have a Gamo Big Cat. It does well at 25 yards but needs a better trigger. There is an aftermarket trigger that fixes that problem. It's about $30 I think.
