  1. TC ad from 1979 showing calibers.
  2. There is one forum that will not let a thread be started about the oversize pins. Seems there is so much controversy over them, that it was splintering the group. I doubt that the average shooter could notice a difference in hinge pins. If it locks up tight, that should be all you need.   I'd leave the Tasco on it if you want to shoot golf ball sized targets at 100 yards(squirrel head size).
  3. If your Contender has been modified to be the "easy open" model, the trigger guard will pivot on the trigger pin, not from the front under the handguard. They say the older models were a handful to open.
  4. If you go to the YOutube page of the person posting the video, you can see this started the day before in another video about the same thing.
  5. Two of the best forums for Contenders are: Greybeard Outdoors http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php?board=24.0   and Break Action Pistols http://specialtypistols.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/frm/f/4766056864   My .223 Contender with 14" barrel is fun to shoot with reduced loads. Not much fun with full power loads. Too much muzzle blast and flame! With reduced loads, it shoots quarter size groups at 100 yards. Some can do better. I hear good things about the .222.   I also shoot the 7-30 Waters. A necked down 30-30. Good deer round out to 150 or so. Great with cast boolits.   Best of luck with yours.
  6. Fake pocketbooks should be a civil matter. Let Coach sue when they find them. This should not be a criminal act.
  7. Who cuffs in front without a belt restraint/belly chain?
  8. When did they get so high? The last ones I bought were $5 each at the gun show.
  9. I load .380 also. Cast my own boolits(90gr. RNL). Cheap shooting for a centerfire. My Bersa loves them.
  10. Aircraft are not "air tight". Far from it. The jet engines produce a huge amount of pressurization air. There have to be "holes" in the aircraft to vent it out. They are called outflow valves. They are huge in a commercial airliner. In the 10 passenger jet I flew, there were 2 outflow valves under the co-pilots seat area and each was about 6 inches in diameter. So all you are doing is "controlling the leaks". A bullet hole in the side of the aircraft would be no big deal from a pressurization standpoint.
  11. And how do you know he isn't going to turn around and sell it on GOC?
  12. I doubt that they work for beer money though.
  13. I would strongly suggest that you start a new thread announcing this TGO Getogether. This thread has been going on for a while and has probably lost interest. If you start a new one, I think you'll get more interest.
  14. I was hoping that you were going to restore it. Now I see you are making a tactical bolt action shotgun. I don't care for it.
  15. Told them to stop and they did.
  16. I don't get mail from the NRA except my Rifleman magazine. I shut down the spam with them a few years back. Life Member.
  17. They sure make it hard to enter if you aren't sending them any money!
  18. Welcome from the 'Boro, Eric!
  19. My MkIII Hunter came with the scope rail and screws.
  20. Juice, Are you fishing the Jefferson Springs Kayak event? See you there if you are. I'll be in the red Pescador 12.
  21. I still don't see the appeal of a $200 beer mug!
  22. Somebody better coordinate with the management on this. The last time I went to shoot rifles, the MTSU Police Dept had the entire 200 yard rifle range. They had tents set up near the 200 yard berm and were shooting pistols. As this range gets more popular, conflicts like this will occur unless planned ahead.
  23. I don't give to the local VFD through their fundraiser. The fundraising company gets a big chunk of that money. I just write them a check once a year and give it to them directly.
  24. I found a site that cross references all these old store brand guns to their parent company. From what you listed, here is what I found: Western Auto 312 Mossberg 395 Western Auto 312AK Mossberg 395K Western Auto 312SB Mossberg 395T Here is the source:   http://www.hoosiergunworks.com/catalog/cross_reference.html   Hope this helps.
