I'm on another local site trying to sell a gun and it is amazing the replies I'm getting from all these people. It's like they either don't know how to spell(or use spellcheck), or they just don't care anymore. I think texting is the problem. They send these cryptic messages by texting and I'm expected to translate them?   Maybe I'm just getting old. And the fact that I don't text. Well, I might send 5 a year from the deer stand. Even in those, I spell out every word.   Any other non-texters see what I'm talking about?   Glad to get this off my chest. Now I'm off to check my inbox for more "gems".

Charlie must have seen what all the new indoor ranges are charging(and people are paying!!!) and decided to go up a bit. Still a bargain at $90 if you live close enough.

I'm sure they are great bullets. Berger makes fine ones. I don't have anything that would stabilize it though.

Last time I got a quote on blueing a gun, it was more than the gun was worth! I checked with OnTarget in Murfreesboro. They have a gunsmith in Bradyville TN that was doing their work. Also, check with "Bennie" at Lebanon Gun Shop. He is a great gunsmith and if he doesn't do it, he'll know where to send you.

How many spent cases in a pound. I ran across this url some time ago. Has a lot of information about how many case in a pound, and other means of measurment. Seems like 223/556 is bringing about .10-.12 each last time I looked at my local reloading shop.

I have a Tracker 44 Stainless. Good gun.   With a damaged rear site, I'd want it discounted enough to pay for shipping back to Taurus for repair.

I had a 452 and it was the most accurate .22 I've ever owned. Mine liked the Wolf Match Target ammo.

I wish somebody would take photos of these guys who do this every day and post their pics online so we know who they are.

I think "Kwik" runs his out of his house in Brentwood. You might scout his setup and see how his works.

I'd be careful of using any kind of filler if not called for in the "recipe". Maybe someone else will chime in on this. I used corn meal in 45-70 loads one time but found it was really unnecessary.

Did you check with Larry at the Reloaders Bench. He usually has it in stock, Don't know why but .25-06 is way expensive when you do find it. I started loading my own. Good luck.

I looked at the Reloaders Bench last week and he had it for $30 a hundred. But, if you ask, he may have a bunch of used brass for less in the back. That's how I got my used .444 brass.

Just a thought on reloading for the Contender. When I started  loading for the 7-30 Waters(bottleneck case) I thought I should neck size to save my brass from being over worked and wearing out too soon. So I started neck sizing. The rounds fit the chamber, but the gun started "snaping" and not firing. After scratching my head and doing some reading, I  decided to try full length sizing the cases.  Viola!!! They all fired. Something about the neck sizing just didn't work with my Contender. You mileage may vary. I know a lot of folks neck size for the Contender, but I don't any more. It was affecting the lock up of the barrel.   I saw you were looking for a neck sizing die, Sidewinder. You might try FL first and see if it works for you.

I made the decision to get a .223 Contender after reading how I could load it down to just about any level I wanted. If I want to duplicate .221 Fireball, I load to about 3000 fps.(pretty loud!) If I want to shoot Hornet velocity, I load to 2500. For .22 Magnum, 2000 fps. and even .22 LR at 1200 fps.   With each reduction in velocity, the noise and blast decrease. My favorite load is the Hornet load at about 2500. It shoots well at 100 yards, not much recoil, and almost no muzzle blast. In fact, I am using a rifle scope with this barrel. So little recoil, there is no need for a long eye relief scope. Mine is the Super 14 barrel.
