  1. Krylon is a wonderful thing. The gun is just a SAR-1, but it's been a great rifle.
  2. In the past, I've used a VFG with a VLTOR light mount. I was happy with that setup, but recenty ditched the VFG and needed a new light setup (the VLTOR without the VFG cramped the railspace/grip space). I decided to try out the Thorntail mounts from Haley Strategic. Very happy so far. For those that don't prefer a VFG, this is the best option I've found. This is my work gun, personally owned. http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00921.jpg http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00923.jpg http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00925.jpg http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00927.jpg

It has a Samson quad rail on it and the Thorntail will not fit. Since it's an SBR, mounting a light on it has been challenging. Now that Midwest Industries is making a quadrail for Krinks, eventually I'll go that route when I scape enough pennies together. http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00699.jpg http://i147.photobuc...po/DSC00698.jpg
  4. Of course you do. She's beautiful and does awesome reloads. I'm trying to figure out why she wants to have sex all night...
  5. First I've heard of them. Looks like a very talented cadre. I do have a self defense book written by Larry Jordan.
  6. +1 I don't even have that much land, but in the same situation.
  7. Well, I didn't go screaming for an assault warrant.
  8. LOL, frustrating, since I've been waiting over 2 years for one. AFAIK, yours is the only decent flash hider/comp combo that I've seen for the Tantal. Anyway, thank you for the update.
  9. Caster tried to touch me and...
  10. If you are ever in Rutherford Co, I'll install them for you (free, of course). That goes for any TGO member.
  11. Trijicon HDs Ameriglo ProGlo front / your choice rear (I-Dot, Classics, or Pros) XS Big Dots IMO, these are the 3 best combat sight set-ups available. Currently, I have Ameriglo ProGlo fronts (orange) and Ameriglo Classic rears on all my defensive pistols. I would not hesitate to use Trijicon HDs if/when the time comes. I happily used XS Big Dots for many years, until a vision issue made them a no-go for me.
  12. Thread drift... KingArmory, can you tell me when these are available? It's been quite awhile. http://s411814840.e-shop.info/shop/article_3/KA-1222B-brake_suppressor.html?sessid=wuFXVVNkrLRCuuvj8qwr2qwNXFWk9FKTLXt1rjuWClUxfEAXiJiDnYVkmQzatmYu&shop_param=cid%3D2%26aid%3D3%26
  13. I paid $225 for my YHM Mite (.22 can). It's the most fun Class3 item I have. You know when/where I work. Let me know if you ever want to "fiddle" with it. To the OP, of all the "extra government controlled stuff", I've never understood why silencers were on the list and I doubt anyone could lay out a logical reason why they are. Buying one won't instantly turn you into an assassin and they're just plain fun.
  14. MILWAUKEE BEER BRATS ( for 6) 6 brats (I prefer Johnsonville) 1 greenpepper 1/2 large onion 4 beers (no light beer dammit, we're cooking) 1. Chop up greenpepper and onion and throw all ingredients in a pot. Simmer for 30-45 min. 2. Remove brats and brown them on the grill. 3. Remove from grill, poke the brats full of holes with a fork, and throw them back in the "soup." 4. Simmer for at least 30-45 min (however, longer is better). 5. Enjoy! I eat them on a bun, draped in the greenpepper and onion, with ketchup. Ja Wohl! That's a "real" Brat...
  15. Saw that...good sense of humor.
  16. I've taken 5 or 6 different classes from TR (some more than once). Every one of them was worth the money.
  17. Nah, I'm all cuddly n stuff. But not in a Caster-man-touching sort of way...
  18. That sucks brother. I had surgery on L4 and L5. I pretty much can do anything I want (except deadlifts), but that and being in my 40s, I can't get too crazy. I currently have a good chiro-guy, though. When my schedule gets more normal, I want to get back to MMA (how's that for man-touching ).
  19. Funny, I used to be really weird about that. Even in the military, I would call Officers by their rank instead of 'sir' (it was still proper). I guess it was a Yankee thing. Now, I use it all the time.
  20. lol...that really used to be my zone in the late 90's. Glad I moved out to the 'burbs.
  21. Oh, I don't know. I got hugged by a complete stranger the other night and it left me wishing that I wasn't wearing my body armor.
