1. The SIG P225/P6 has always been my favorite SIG pistol. I don't do DA/SA guns, but if I did I'd definitely have one.
2. The one I played with had the best trigger of any polymer gun that I've shot. My only gripes at the time was the paddle mag release and the monster slide release. So, the former gripe is fixed and I can "fix" the latter. Like you, I'll most likely be buying one eventually.
3.
C'mon guys, he only used the knife to pry the lid open. I'm pretty sure a couple more rubs on the curb & his thumbnail would've worked.
Seriously. Sometimes the internet peanut gallery acts like it cost them something to watch. Reminds me of the two old men from the Muppet Show... Anyway, thanks for posting.
4. Thread drift... That's one thing that sucked about the Lautenberg Amendment...it was retro. Thousands of LE and Mil lost their jobs when that went into effect. I'm definitely not "pro-domestic violence" (especially when my wife hits me :) ), but I can tell you that there are a ton of bs DV arrests made every year...and some good people got screwed. So, drifting back, it can happen.
5. You forgot the waterborne incursion, space shuttle door gunner, and ninja roll training evolutions.
6.   Regarding cop disarming, generally speaking in TN, while on duty...   A judge while in his courtroom (rare). A federal building (sometimes). A detention facility (always).   The governing authority, stamped on the back of every TN POST Commission Card that every cop possesses (which NRA previously referenced) is TCA 39-17-1315 and USC 18 Sect 926. There is a private property rights issue in section B of said TCA. My jurisdiction considers a cop "on duty" even while on his/her lunch break.  Maybe not all do...don't know, and maybe that's the rub in some places.
7. BigPoppa...do you see the level of restraint I'm showing here? I just want it noted.  See you tomorrow.
8. Outstanding.  Way to work around your capabilities.    BTW, just curious, why the MagPul AFG?
9.   We call our pinch collars "powersteering."  :)
10.   There is no difference in "toughness" between the two.
11.   Although we disagree on shock collar usage, this is also very excellent advice. I learned about "dominance down" from my wife...the dog trainer of the family.  It works like a charm at establishing the "Alpha."   PS. Don't try this on said wife.  I still have the scars...    Anyway, we use "dominance down" for hierarchy issues and the collar for other behavior issues (barking, heeling, etc).
12.   I have.  Yes, alcohol and other cops were involved...   Anyway, +1 to Caster's suggestion (from personal experience). The power level used will be dependant on the dog and don't use it on wet grass.   I used it on 2 of my 3 Weimaraners (smart, but hard-headed suckers) with great success.
13.   They look nice, but I have two problems with TFOs.   1.  You mentioned it...their CS might be good, but it seems they're needed way too often. 2.  The fiber optics in the TFOs are more sensitive to chemicals/cleaning products than traditional tritium sights.  This may not be an issue for some, but I use brake cleaner when cleaning my guns and this makes TFOs a no-go.   YMMV
14.   This is meant with all respect.   The above is a training issue. For those that are curious, take your 3-dot tritium, nightsighted pistol to a darkened room and intentionally get a "proper" sight picture with the front sight dot to the left/right of the rear sight dots. If you can't immediately see how weird that feels, I'd suggest professional instruction or, at a minimum, a lot more dryfire practice.
15. Troy here as well. Their diamond shaped rear aperture version is even better than the traditional circle, IMO.  I thought it was gimicky when I read about it...then I tried it.
16. Far and away, your 1st choice.   - Extra visibility front sight. - Wide rear notch with U shape. - "Rack-able" rear sight shape.   I prefer Ameriglo's similar offering due to same quality, cheaper price, and awesome CS (and the "rear sight white rings around the tritium" option). Trijicon HDs are my 2nd choice and I don't hesitate to recommend them.
17. Never had to use their CS...their products have been great from the start. Nice to know though!
18. No offense intended, but you are offering an opinion on a product that you're obviously not familiar with.
19. Definately a personal preference thing and you can't go wrong with either. But, I prefer orange.
20.   He is also very misinformed.   That said, for those that still carry Black Talons, I ask... 1.  Do you really want to carry ammo that is 20ish years old if you don't have to? 2.  Especially when there are better performing choices, clearly, out there (Gold Dot, Ranger-T, HST)?
21. Winchester's old Black Talon is not the same round as the current Ranger-T or PDX-1.   The Ranger-T is a redesigned version of the original BT and offers superior performance.  IIRC, the design change occured in 1999. PDX-1 is a different animal altogether (bonded, etc.).
22. Just a follow-up... I put about 300 rounds through it (all suppressed). CCI Subs, Aquilla Subs, and Rem Target. Aquilla was the most quiet. CCI was the most accurate...not a huge sound difference, so I went with CCI as my preferred load zeroed. One hole groups at 25 yards (longest I shot so far) with CCI. Zero malfunctions (IIRC, the manual, and others, said something about subsonics possibly not cycling so I'm glad this wasn't an issue since I specifically bought this gun to be quiet). Anyway, very happy.
23. Me too. I used to work at Brookfield Square while I was in college.
