  1. I was thinking the same thing.
  2. Never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I love cigars.  So many greats out there (Avo, Fuente, Partagas, CAO, Montecristo,  etc). +1 on JR's.  Thompson's is only good if you want to get a humidor with one of their combo deals.  I smoke Cubans when I go to Mexico, but feel they're a bit overrated. My favorite cigar drink is good, dark coffee (first) or dark beer.  I love Bourbon, but I'll take coffee or beer with a cigar.
  3. Like you, I prefer a stubby foregrip (first) or an underside grip (second). Much better shooters than I use the "c" clamp, but it never felt right for me.

    You're right...nevermind.   walton6467, I appreciate it.
  5. Right or wrong, you want attention you're going to get it.   Politically...does this sort of thing help or hurt the 2A cause? Tactically...sorry, retarded.   However, before you OCers attack me, I had this experience just yesterday... On duty, in uniform, I zip into Walmart to grab something.  Dude walking around, shopping, and OCing an XD (open-topped floppy IWB, turned backwards, and clipped to a pocket...more retardedness). Anyway, someone asks, "Are you going to check him out?" Me, "Uhh, no."       "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
  6. :)  Ducks are fun.   My family has about 100 acres that butts against Camp Douglas (Camp Williams now, I guess), near Mauston.
  7.   Not sure what even half of your post means. I work in Rutherford Co and all LE in the county have an extremely good relatationship with USMS (my favorite Fed agency to work with, actually). The reason I think you're full of sh*t is that USMS always notifies us, beforehand, when they're working in our jurisdictiction (it's not like they work police corruption and have to be all secret, secret). We have not had any situations like you described.  The USMS doesn't want any Blue-on-Blue shootings, either...local bullets hurt just as much as Fed bullets.   Are you really a cop???  Doubtful, and certainly not USMS.   So then, I'm curious, how is it that you know what was said to SPD dispatch and you were at the scene with all that 1st hand knowledge? Like I said, F.O.S.     Ya know, I just started this thread as a friendly "heads-up" for some jobs. Didn't really think the "tools" would come out on this one.
  8. Yeah, that triple shooting/homicide they had a few days ago was boring stuff too... And, if that "teen" had just assaulted your mother trying to steal her pain/cancer meds maybe it wouldn't be so funny to you, idiot.   Talk out of your ass elsewhere if you're not interested.  I'm just trying to help out the TGO folks who might be.
  9. If you're interested.   www.townofsmyrna.org Click on the Departments tab...then Human Resources.
  10.   Yeah, sad. I'm from Wisconsin (considered a 'Blue State" most often). Except for Milwaukee and Madison (the Berkley of the Mid States), the people are very Red State in my experience.
  11. I've had experience with both. Tom Givens.  Hands down.
  12. Some of the worst, anti-2A cops I've talked to were from Memphis PD...made me feel like I was back in NY. Hopefully, they're not the norm there.
  13.   My wife is better at it than me.  She says it's usually the dorky haircut and the dickiness. She can't believe she's married to one.  :)   PS.  Naked cartwheels for real?  All full of awesome...
  14. I've been a cop for about 20 years...Depts ranging in sizes from 1450 sworn to my current one that's about 75 sworn. Yeah, I've met these types.  A minority, but they exist everywhere.  Yes, it's sickening.   Anyway, geography also matters.  LAPD, NYPD, Boston PD, etc., their political views (along with their Dept's and State's), generally, will be vastly different from a TN cop.  Believe me, I used to live/work in New York. Currently, I supervise 13 officers...and I'm pretty proud of them when it comes to stuff like this.

    Xbox One

Timely thread, thanks. I'm not a big gamer (I play COD on PC once in a while), but was thinking about getting back into the console world. I've had a PS1 and a 1st Gen XBox...preferred the XBox then and was leaning towards it for this Christmas. Now, I'm not so sure.
  16. Your normal hangout?                             :stalk:
  17.   Yeah, I used to be a big supporter of WWP back in the day. Not claiming to be 100% informed, but I saw enough to make me step away from them, financially, a while back.
  18. Thank you from those of us who couldn't be there.

    44mm Glock

This was brought home to me when I worked for Metro Nashville PD. I'd see a story on the news, about an incident in which I was present (maybe even my assigned call), and I would just laugh when watching the news because, usually, it was nowhere near what really happened.
  20. These GotYour6 commercials...they enrage me everytime one comes on.   Like these lefty, Hollywood types have ANY idea what it really means to "have someone's six" in combat (military, LE, or personal defense...it's all physical war on some level). Just because you can throw money at some program doesn't mean you have a f*cking clue what "having someone's back during SHTF" really means.   I don't know, I'm sure their cash does some good...but, GotYour6?  It pisses me off because it drips with arrogance and presumption. They can shove that "6" pin up their ass.   Rant off...I think I just channeled Col Nathan Jessup.
