  1. Yeah, I had been buying the WWB, but from now on I am sticking with the Federal(which is 9.97 at my walmart), but they don't always have it...so just considering the RWS if thats the last thing on the shelf. Thanks guys!
  2. Anyone every tried this stuff? It is actually cheaper than the 50rd boxes of WWB. The 100rd boxes of WWB is stil abit cheaper(than 2 50rds of the RWS), but my walmart doesn't always have those. The 50rd boxes of WWB is like 13.47(or so) and these RWS boxes are like 12 something. Anyways, Just curious how they shoot as an alternative to WWB or Federal(when they don't have either of these)?
  3. Wow, Thanks guys! I probably won't be in the market for a new gun, but I would be interested in finding some deals on ammo. Particularly .22lr or 9mm for my M&P. However I might consider if I found a good deal on another range bag, rifle case, or various accesories. Although I would like to, I don't really have the available funds for a new(or new to me) gun. Thanks alot for all the input!
  4. So I'm hoping to get to attend my first gun show coming up in a couple weeks in Knoxville. So i'm just kinda wondering what to expect? If there isn't anything in particular that you go wanting, What type of things do you keep your eyes open for at these shows? What are usually the "good-deal" items? I guess it probably varies from show to show, but I figured there are probably some "usual items" that you can find some good deals on maybe? There isn't really anything particular that I need, but wouldn't be opposed to buying something if I ran across the right deal.
  5. Definetly a good day at the range. Like Mike said, You guys missed it....Not really crowded at all, which was surprising for a day like today. Got to shoot Mike's new toy and also got to shoot dotsun's AR which was nice. These guys are gonna have me buying me some sort of "assault/battle type" rifle before its over with. Just too many options to weigh them out!
  6. I think we're gonna do it on Sat instead due to Mothers Day being Sunday.
  7. I will also be there around 9 or so Saturday morning. 70below & Bluemax, You guys still in for saturday?
  8. Yes, I was just thinking about this last night.....Didn't think about Mom's day when I posted. Just wonder if Saturday would work better for everyone?
  9. Garufa, OS....hate you guys can't make it. What time do the rest of you guys want to meet?
  10. I have to say I love my M&P9c, however I don't hate the feel of the XD's either. I'd have to pick between those to...depending on which feels the most comfortable to you.
  11. Hard to choose, however I guess if I had to, I'd have to pick Mayo.
  12. Since some of you guys missed our last "meeting" at Norris during the week, Anyone up for shooting Sunday?
  13. I prefer Hellmans, However I have heard alot of good about Dukes and thinking about giving it a whirl.
  14. Which One? Fishing is my #1 hobby, and now shooting being a close 2nd. I fish for alot of different species....from Bluegill to Musky. And yes, There are musky in TN. I won't bore you with listing all my different combos(I have about 8-9...haha), but usually keep with the mid-priced stuff for the most part. If anyone in the East Tn area ever wants to wet a line, Let me know...I try to go at least once a week if I can.
  15. Glad ya made it over Bob! Welcome! Can't wait to send some rounds down-range again soon!
  16. Sorry...Nevermind....Just been asked recently. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/37354-why-do-1911s-cost-so-much.html
  17. Now please refrain from laughing at my question, as I am still basically a "newb" when it comes guns. But I am just curious....What justifies the prices of most major name brand 1911's? Now i'm not being smart by any means, I am just kinda curious what makes them that special? Aside from the type material used for the frames(and obviously the general "style/shape"), what makes them THAT much different from a regular ol' glock, M&P, or something like that?
  18. Where was my invite?
  19. Just curious if this was still "in the works" or what? Looking forward to getting together with some more of you guys and shoot.
  20. Wish you could've made it too Mike. Had a great time. Good guns, good shooting, and good company...what more could you ask for? OS made me shoot his Mini 14, and now he has me wanting one.
  21. I might could scrounge up a few peanuts or a couple "quarter cakes" for ya...
  22. Just got back from wally-world tonight and picked me up at bipod for my savage, and picked up a stapler for the targets. I'm ready to shoot!
  23. Great, I'll try to get there around noon/1-ish. See you guys there!
  24. I can probably do anytime. I'd like to be able to shoot 2-3hrs at least though to make it worth my trip. OS, You in? Garufa, We could schedule it during the evening if that would work better for ya?
  25. Pondering on heading to Norris tomorrow(thursday), Just wondering if anyone might be up for some shooting?
