  1. For the money, I'd rather have an FNP-45 Tac. You could get a PMR-30, but I'm not sure if they are equivalent in terms of bullet energy. Myth Busting: .22 Magnum vs. 5.7×28mm | The Firearm Blog However, 30rds or .22 wmr is attractive...maybe someday, quicker burning cartridges will be available for pistols chambered for this.
  2. Haha, no. I would like one, however!
  3. Sure is...but dying a slow and painful death would be harder. At least, in theory... =)
  4. I had my eyes on this one: Shotforce Shotgun collapsible stock, AR15 style. MRW4100. It was one of the few that looked solid and didn't have that funky gap between the back of the reciever like some of the others. Plus, it's priced right. It should fit. The Rem. 870 and Moss. 590 accessories are all interchangeable from what I can tell...I'm still going to call and find out.
  5. Hahaha. Totally. So far, so good...I've been using that nasty nicorette gum. It seems to suffice my carnal rage...
  6. Thank you, sir!
  7. I just picked this gun up over the weekend. Bought it at Guns and Leather (always a pleasure doing business with them). They actually came down in price and managed to undercut Bud's. I've never bought anything from Budsgunshop.com, but I went to a few complaint forums and saw how their customer service rep handled the situation and was not happy. The rep was actually bashing loyal customers for their negative reviews with Bud's service. It just became a big pissing match. Besides, I like to buy local and support the guys and gals in my area if at all possible. But, I digress... I really like the ghost ring sights that came with this. I like the fact that the receiver is already drilled and tapped. It feels solid, racks nicely. The LOP is a little long for me, so I may have to get an adjustable stock. I would also like one of those nifty side saddles so I could practice speed loading like those awesome pros do it =) It does have a parkerized finish, and I was wondering - does anybody know a good way to treat/clean this? I heard that you should slather it up with grease and bake it in the oven (not sure if I want to do this). Also, does anyone know how I could smooth out the trigger on her? It just feels a little rough, not bad, just a little rough... Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Going to take it to Ft. Campbell this weekend and try breaking it in a little bit. Oh, and on a side note: I've decided to quit smoking, so I'm doing the whole Nicorette Gum thing...wish me luck! Here are some pictures. UPDATE: Took it out to the range on Saturday with a few friends. We shot an 870, a savage .270, a savage .410, a Sig 522 LR (fun gun), and my Kel-Tec P-11. It was fantastic. I cleaned out a few boxes of 00 3"mag buckshot, a box of 2/3" rifled slugs, and several boxed of bird (practice) shot...The action was fairly smooth (not as smooth as my buddies 870). I noticed that after the heavier loads, the action tended to stick a little bit more. I was told to polish the chamber and keep working the action to "break it in". There was one issue That I was a little concerned about. Again, with the heavier loads, the bolt seemed to open about 1" while the forend was completely forward. I googled around a bit and found out that it was a mechanical function of the weapon. Apparently, it is there so ejecting/chambering the next round it a tad quicker. I'm not too sure about this, but other than that, everything seemed to be in order. The sights were very accurate right out the box. The slugs were patterning a little low at 25m, so I adjusted accordingly. Next, I tried taking a standing pop-shot at the 100m steel plate - surprisingly, I hit it! It was the best shot all day, but I had a hard time replicating it. However, It was only missing by inches. I probably should have sat down to do it again, but I wasn't too concerned. Point being, I was very happy with the accuracy of this gun vis a vis rifled slugs... Happy shooting!
  8. Thats when OFFENSIVE driving comes into play. After that, call Humane Control and tell them to come scrape the dead animal from the road. If you've ever been to Vegas, then you would know that it's not possible to have an "escape route" at every street light, stop sign, and side alley. There are just too many billboards, light poles, hookers, hecklers, tourists, and cars. It's easy to say "always have an escape route", but when trying to navigate the hectic and congested roads of an insanely populous city - it's just not possible. my2cents
  9. It sucks because of the media's portrayal of those awful GUNS. Back in the 17, 18, and early 1900's guns were a way of life. It was a means to defend, protect, and survive. Now everyone sees guns and violence as proportional factors. Movies, gangs, and even wars have all tarnished the gun's reputation. People are evil, not guns. Unfortunately sheeple will never realize this. Your friends/neighbors have rights to their opinions/wishes, no matter how misdirected they are. Your upstanding responsibility to keep their kids safe from your guns means moot to someone whose views are founded on ignorance.
  10. Sometimes animals just get possessed by a demon or two. Just sprinkle some holy water into the dog's bowl, that should take care of it. =) Seriously though, glad your son is alright.
  11. I know this is dated, but had to reply. It's Anti (meaning against) Lib (short for Libertarian Party) Tard (slang for...one who is, well you can urban dictionary that one). The few conservatives in Cali (that I know) use the term libtards, when referring to the "other" side. Hope that clears my name.
  12. Well, thank you! Have an Air Assault day!
  13. Check sportsmansguide.com for .380 ammo. Never bought it, so I'm not sure how competitive their prices are to say, a gun shop. Pistol Ammunition - .380 at Sportsman's Guide
  14. Chattanooga and Gatlinburg...Fun places
  15. Hello all, My name is Steve and I just joined TGO a few hours ago. I love our freedom and the Constitution (even though most idiots think it's obsolete). I've lived in California most of my life but also Russia, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica (missionary parents). In short: I left California, joined the Army, was stationed at Ft. Campbell, married a girl from Nashville, went to Iraq, got back, got out, and now live here. I own a Kel-Tec P11 ATM, but plan on buying more as time goes on (really want an FNP-45 and SIG P226 Blackwater next). My HCP is in the works, so I should be carrying soon. I've enjoyed this forum for the last several months and decided to join because of how informative and helpful everyone seems to be. Originally, I used these postings to keep up with local and state laws. I hope I have something to give back to this community soon. Have a good one, and God Bless!
