  1. I may, but think to yourself (Parked since the 80s with an open window and the last paint job was put on with a roller).
  2. I’m taking a vacation next week so I can get tags, do an alignment, and tie up the loose ends. The shake down run will be about Wednesday. So anyone around Columbia will get a closer look.
  3. The outtakes are hilarious. That guy has got a good sense of humor.
  4. Thanks everybody. This one was definitely brought back from the dead. It’s been a lot of work. It’s not perfect and never will be, but it’s mine and I did 99% of the work myself. I don’t think I will be passing many on the street.
  5. It's almost done. It’s a 1952 Studebaker with a BBC/400 and a Ford 9â€. I have to finish the exhaust, mount a plate, do a front end alignment, and finish up some small odds and ends.
  6. I know a guy that loaded a case full of what he thought was the appropriate powder for his 270. When he touched off the round he got a kaboom and 6000+ FPS on the screen. "SOMEONE" had penciled in benchmark on the back of the powder can. Blew the bolt apart.
  7. I use 9.5 grs of Longshot and a 180 XTP. Starline brass
  8. Load a round in the normal fashion and fire it. The brass will extract like it’s been greased.
  9. When I tested the 40 gr V-Max @ 3460 fps in wet news print, I got about 6 inches of penetration. There was a massive wound channel and very little left that resembled a bullet. As a PDR, I’d say that’s about as good as it gets.
  10. Well an M16 receiver probably only cost about $15 to make. They go for about $10K to $12K and require a tax stamp. I can see the attraction in the stock. If someone wants to experience an AR full auto, they have to rent a gun somewhere, have friends with expansive toys, drop $12k on an M16, or get one of these stocks. They’re getting a lot of flak from the guys with full autos, but so what. I know a guy with a Harley. He says it doesn’t matter what you ride, it’s that you ride. In the next breath he will tell you if you’re not on a Harley you can’t ride with him. No matter what you’re into there’s always a party pooper.
  11. The exception is the Thompson encore/contender. It is exempt for this.
  12. You can get a factory SBR on a form 4. It would not require additional engraving, but all form 1s do. I am curious as to what RWF put in block “h”
  13. Malfunctioning AR15 becomes a machine gun? « Totalrecoil
  14. I try to load my hunting ammo about 3 to 4 thousands off the lands and my long range stuff 2 to 3 thousands into the lands. I hardly ever use published OALs. I let the gun tell me what it wants depending on what it’s for.
  15. I've had TWRA ask me to shoot an injured deer at night so that they wouldn't have to send out a game warden to do it. When it comes to coyote in the backyard at night destroying your property, I think a little bit of .22LR and a lot of STFU goes a long way.
  16. 168 A-Max Velocity @ 10 foot = 2653 Velocity @ impact = 2494.9 Retained weight = 78.9 Penatration = 12.8" + 30% on live game Max Diameter = 0.697 Expansion starts at about 2 inches. Max damage is from 3 to 9 inches. This bullet is devastating on deer. Most bullets I recovered are just under the skin on the off side.
  17. H380 has always been a good powder with a 168. I have never had one not shoot with it, but R15 gets top velocities out of the 308. I love the gun. It shoots so good its stupid. I did some video work last hunting season with it. Both super and sub. I’m testing some bullets for a bullet manufacture this weekend so I’ll send a 168 A-Max in and get some pics up for you.
  18. I use Nosler brass 168 A-Max 44 gr of RE 15 V = 2670 Savage 20" barrel For Subsonic hunting Winchester brass 225 Outlaw State Bullets 11.6 gr of Trail Boss I've shot the A-Max load out to 1000 yds and use it for my 308 supersonic hunting load. It expands well in wet news print.

The JP works as advertised. I don’t use them anymore once I got into suppressors.
