  1. I'll be pissing off fisherman because I'm teaching my boys how to not die on a kayak. It will be on a lake that only fisherman go to. LOL
  2. On a side note....My ex-girlfriend insisted that go on a date with her boss. We went out on a Saturday. Our second date was on a Tuesday or Wednesday. We decided to get married that day. We didn't tell the families for 2 weeks. We were married 4 months after our 1st date. She was not pregnant at the time. LOL. Some people lost money on that last point. LOL
  3. I think it's more common than we think it is. We went through all the luggage more than once. LOL.
  4. I've been married for 24 years to the same woman. We've never been married to anyone else. We don't go on vacations together. She loves the beach. Every beach. I absolutely hate everything about the beach. I'm miserable the entire time I'm in the heat and sand. If I'm going to be hot and dirty, I better be making $1000 a day. On the flip side, my Wife wouldn't in a million years go hunting for hogs in Texas. It's completely alien to her as to why someone would stay up all night with snakes and hogs. I think it's insane to force her to go. She, at first thought I should go to the beach regardless. I explained it to her and being who she is, gave me the benefit of a doubt..... She loves it. She realized I'd be miserable and she wouldn't have fun because of that. Taking her mother, my mother, her sister, and what ever kids want to go makes for a fantastic...drama free vacation. I take take vacations to places she would never want to go and I have a blast. Her friend and co-workers at first say it's horrible....wrong.... My friends want to know how I pulled it off. In the end her friends love the idea, but their husband's would never let them out of their sight. We do try to find things we can do with the whole family. We have a trip to fall creek falls coming up. We well go to the mountains every few years, but She will do 2 to 3 trips a year for a week at a time(She's in Turks and Caicos at the moment) I do 5 to 6 for a couple of days at a time. I have never talked to anyone that does this. Are we an enigma? Would you live your life like this? None of the people I work with would do this and think I'm crazy (divorce, alcoholism, and self destruction is crazy high in my field dueto stress). We've literally been on 5 vacations together including our honeymoon. I'm taking care of the younger kids so she can take my oldest Daughter on a trip. I'll be taking the younger kids kayaking while she's gone. Is there something odd you do in your marriage that people don't understand that works for you?
  5. I was on the "vote from the rooftops" frame of mind.
  6. I was on board until I started reading. I really thought this was going to be a different kind of thread. LOL
  7. 5 days from submitting to approval.
  8. HSTs are not sexy, but the work good in every test.
  9. I may be the cicadas. I was kayaking on the Duck river Saturday and I've never seen so many big fish at the surface. I don't fish, but if I'd had a net....
  10. My Wife planted a few little things. All I got out was Egyptian Wheat and a bunch of milk weed. I have enough hemlock that you'd think I planted it.
  11. Well I picked up the x ultra 4 mid boots. Really comfortable new. I've got to put some miles in before June 10. I've got a week of hiking and kayaking coming. Thanks everyone.
  12. If only you were looking for an rmr cc.
  13. I'm going to try on a pair of Solomons today and see how they feel. https://www.salomon.com/en-us/shop/product/x-ultra-4-mid-gore-tex-21.html?CMPID=ps|pm|google|SLM_BOO-PerformanceMax-ONG-ECM-USA_MAX_LW|||&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_content=aa-cc&utm_keyword=&utm_campaign=SLM_BOO-PerformanceMax-ONG-ECM-USA_MAX_LW&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6auyBhDzARIsALIo6v_nkwcUpif7ET39KO1dRfV64Bjak3GVqLCP4M2Cr5r1ohLcVIZz5lAaAgmuEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds#color=73402&size=26248
  14. When you start hitting roots and rocks on trails it makes a difference. Walking of running on asphalt or concrete, I'm definitely using my running shoes. When I say hiking I'm talking about places you need hand holds.
  15. I'm checking a place near work Monday. If it doesn't pan out, I'll call th e guys in Franklin and Lebanon. Thanks
  16. It's kinda funny. It doesn't matter how much they cost, there's a video on YouTube of them falling apart and full of water. LOL
  17. My Wife got a no-name amazon boot for $30 and said they work fine, but she's only been on concrete. I've hiked in my work boots, but they are steel toe with reinforced soles. They all weigh a ton. All the reviews for boots are al over the place.
  18. I just picked up a S&W airweight for my Daughter's 21st birthday that's coming up. I never thought I'd like that kind of gun, but it's not bad. After the get the trigger job done, I think I'll be a respectable pocket gun.
  19. What hiking boots are you guys rocking? I'm probably going to be doing about 25 miles over the course of a week and I need decent boots, but I don't want to drop $200 either.
  20. I watched the video and have no idea what the victim looks like.....officer.....
  21. I have been on the phone all day. No one does it in my area apparently. One of you guy has to know someone.
  22. I've looked at one of these more than I'd like to admit.
  23. Free. Come get it in Columbia.
