  1. Well I just did a trigger job on my XDM and the threaded barrel came today. My form 4 should be back in a month. I have 500 cases primed and I need a good cheap 147 HP.
  2. How much are the 147s and where are they?
  3. I've been watching this bird for a few days. It never would cross my neighbor's fence. Yesterday it folowed some hens 40 yards on to my place and BOOM. My neighbor was pissed. He's the kind of guy that finds out where you hunt and tries to run off game in your area. He came out to the edge of his property and got on the cell phone as I tagged the bird in on line. My wife smiled and waved. He stomped off in discust. I'm positive he called the game warden. I want a copy of the conversation so bad. DB: My neighborr just shot a turkey! GW: It's turkey season. DB: But it was next to my property! GW: Was he within 100 yds of your house? DB: NO. GW: Was he on his property? DB: Yes GW: What do you want us to do? DB: Stop the deer and turkey from walking on his property.

  5. There's one at Ted's in Columbia.
  6. I don't know if I will video the match or not. I do know that my gunsmith came though and the 308 will be in the safe on the 7th. The 6.5 Redding however will not.
  7. There's no way to see a bullet holes @ 1000 yds on a black target. The scoring disk is white and 3 inches in diamater. I can see it easily with my 14 power rifle scope. With my 42 power Nightforce I can see everything. I need a spotting scope for scoring duty.
  8. XDs have weak strikers compared to 1911s. Mine runs about 40% on military primers and 100% on normal primers.
  9. What do you use at 1000 yards? I've heard everything from $75 ebay scopes to $2000 scopes. I just want to score F-class. I would rather have a clear 30 power than a milky 60 power, as long as I can see the scoring disk clearly. I would rather spend no more than $350 to $450.
  10. Leupold has been installing reticles for years. Typically is setup for a 200 yard zero and you have a 100, 300, 400, and 500 yard dot that is calabrated for your load. I called and talked them into setting one up for a 125 yard zero with a 100, 150, 175, and 200 yard dot in a 2x7. It's about $70. The reticle in the post above will be in a $1000 + scope. I have heard rummors about it ending up in the new R scopes.

  12. I had Leupold put a subsonic reticle in a 2x7 I had. If I need to go super I rotate the turret to a paint mark and let her rip. AAC and Leupold are coming out with a scope with dual reticles, but it will be about a grand.
  13. I use this http://www.midwayusa.com/product/721759/forster-power-case-trimmer and a drill press from the 1940s. PM your address and I'll send you one.
  14. What bullet do you intend to use? I could load you a dummy round and send you but it's not necessary. Making the brass isn't hard, but it's time consuming. I've probably made 5 or 6 thousand over the years. I would be happy to talk you through the process.

  18. Glock is a great gun and if that’s all you have and carry you would not be considered foolish. The grip angle is the problem I have with the gun. The angle itself is not incorrect, but going back and forth between a glock and a conventional grip firearm may be. I was going to get a glock for asuppressor host, but got a 9mm XDm instead. I can pick a spot on the wall, close my eyes pull my carry gun and when I open my eye the sights will be alignedand on the spot. I can also do this with a XDm. I would shoot the crap out of a glock. My fear is that I would get accustom to the grip angle and it would translateto my carry gun if I ever had to use it in a self defenses situation. Shootinga bad guy in the foot is not how I want to go out.
