  1. 3 nights in Texas. Private land. We may have some places in AL, GA, and AR. We just couldn't hurt during deer season. That's over, so we are about to start make the rounds. We need to see if the other areas have good pigs.
  2. A little north of Fort Worth.
  3. Just a little over 11 hours of driving.
  4. Heading back to Texas in a couple of weeks for a hog eradication. Planning on taking 250 rounds. I'm one night hunting gun down due to the ATF not running forms during the shutdown, but it should be fun.
  5. Trail boss...
  6. I've been around the homeless in Nashville for 20 years. They don't want help. All they want is a handout so they can get beer or mouthwash. I depends on how much money they have that day. You're not going to make them change. I love stepping on hypodermic needles on my way to get my job done.
  7. With the 450 you can use cheap .452 bullets that expand at 45 colt velocities.
  8. Guess the magic number is 950 fps or so. If you're comparing a 230 at 850 fps 45.
  9. I don't, but was looking at it. I have about 3000 blackout cases left. After I run through them I'll start converting again.
  10. CH4D has one. https://www.ch4d.com/products/popular-calibers/300-blackout/DT300AAC
  11. From the pictures, it doesn't have a gas block or tube.
  12. I'm a bit worried about mine. I have 6 dependents, but who knows. I did an estimate and my wife did an estimate and they were considerably different.
  13. Auxiliary pumps make me nervous. Why not set up a PWM on one big pump. If the auxiliary fails under boost, you'll go lean. I've had guys tell me it's a non-issue, but honestly don't know
  14. I stopped watching when the doctor said he didn't want to have anything to do with his daughter because she was "just a soldier"
  15. I wish I could run on a drag strip. They kick me off instantly. LOL
  16. I worked with a guy several years back that killed his kids and himself because his wife was divorcing him. He did it to punish her. I've never heard his name mentioned by anyone at work since.
  17. I'm referring to a normal rifle with a normal scope.
  18. You've probably noticed atmospheric conditions make a big difference. You kind of learn a new language using thermal.
  19. FYI....If you are in your stand 31 minutes before legal shooting light, you're in violation. Walking to your stand with a rifle is considered hunting.
  20. There's at trick to that. A buck will be darker on the top of his head. He's head will also appear to be flat. A doe will be round. You can see the horns with a good thermal, but judging size is difficult. A gun mounted range finder is your best friend.
  21. A fouled bore is more consistent. A better practice is to shoot your cold bore shot with a fouled bore and log that. When you clean the barrel always foul it before putting it up. Your cold bore shot will have much less deviation.
  22. Clean? What?.... Only clean when the accuracy goes away. Some of my guns go 250ish rounds before I clean the barrel. One goes closer to 400. A clean bore will shoot a different POI than a fouled bore.
  23. Even my 15 year old daughter carries a switchblade. She's not getting taken without a fight.
