  1. I've seen plenty of bolt action rifles jam. They don't do it as easily as an auto, but they do jam.
  2. They are engineered for deer.
  3. I planted 1.29 acres of eagle soybeans 1 week ago. They are coming up strong. I can't wait to see 5.5-6 foot soybeans. https://www.eagleseed.com/forage-soybeans.html

  5. Just said i would not. I can highlight that part for you.
  6. I would lick random strangers in Nashville before I would believe CNN. I'm also not taking that s#$t either.
  7. Before the NFA changes you could be in a trust that owned a machinegun. That gave an 18 year old the ability to use any NFA in the trust. I'm not sure if it has changed, but a handgun can be transferred in just like anything else.
  8. Maybe we should restrict gun stores to certain parts of town. They could upset someone. No signs that say guns and dare not advertise anywhere. You guys shouldn't post anything on Facebook about hunting. Someone could see your guns or a poor dead deer. We could lose the right to hunt. God forbid some gun hater gets an account on TGO. we should shut the site down so we don't offend anyone.
  9. Have been to the Publix in the Gulch? No old men. Some men that are questionable.
  10. In Nashville, I enjoy standing as close as I can to people. Publix in downtown town is fun. I had a guy squeal and run away last Friday.
  11. Well, the engine is out. Going to put a clutch, timing chains, and new gasket/seals in. Heads are at the shop.
  12. My class 3 stuff is the only thing registered, but that's federal.
  13. Depends on the trees. If trees have a bunch of leaves I use a shotgun.
  14. I laughed and now I have to put a head gasket on my daughter's 4.6l Ford. Guess I'll pull the top end off this weekend.
  15. Dang! When I cut trees, it's with a bucket truck. We do not play well with others though. If i got $1800 for a few trees, I would have paid cash for the new house.
  16. Lube the o rings.
  17. All of my guns have a sound level between a 22lr and 22 mag and I have 7 cans by 6 different manufacturers. That's with supersonic bullets. I run them on anything from a 5.56 to a 458.
  18. He said that's one of the issues they are running into. The corn worms get pushed out of the corn and migrate to the hemp. They are literally picking them off by hand. Now if they would naturally go to the hemp without a normal food source, I have no idea. My thoughts are that it doesn't hurt me much to plant something else. I may even learn something and do better this year. I can always go back next year if I need too. I also know nothing about hemp and it's production , so don't take anything I say about it as the gospel.
  19. I've got almost 2 acres of alfalfa. I'm thinking let him pick up the tab on 1.5 ish acres of soybean seed and I'll also 1.5 acres plant peas with sunflowers. The sunflowers will help him out also.
  20. Probably going to do some sunflowers just because my kids went crazy when I mentioned them. The neighbor uses them as pest control. They attract birds that eat bugs.
  21. He came and had a talk with me about my crops. I plant about 1.9 acres of corn just across the street. It is only for deer hunting. The problem is corn worms. They don't bother me, but they have and will damage his hemp. He cannot use any pesticides. First off, he said it's my land and if I want to plant corn that i should. However, if I am willing to plant an alternative crop he and his partner would be happy to pay for the seed and help out in any way I may need. The question I have is what would be as good as corn? I've thought about some large lad soybeans. 5 foot tall soybeans, but they don't pull deer as much as corn after the first frost. The crop also needs to be tall so that it provides cover. Any good ideas?
