  1. Savage MSR 10 rifles have a different hole spacing than an AR10 or an AR15. No vice blocks that I could find available so I got some aluminum and made one. Now if I could just find a barrel .
  2. I hit it twice
  3. The suff is fantastic in my suppressed 9mm.
  4. I GOT RL26!!!! I GOT RL26!!!! I GOT RL26!!!!
  5. They were clearing land next to my cabin that day. My mother-in-law said a guy ran up to the cabin asking for a fire extinguisher. She gave him one and he ran off. I don't know if they started it or not.
  6. https://www.wate.com/news/local-news/crews-battling-wildfire-in-wears-valley/ We however didn't get interviewed. On a side note, don't get between a man and his family when smoke and fire are all around the cabin they are in.
  7. To be honest, I've always had a "thing" for her.
  8. 1: figure out what you want plant. 2: get a soil sample. I have on field that requires zero lime and very little fertilizer year after year. A second field requires about 2 tons. They are 2 hundred yards from one another. To make matters worse I planted alfalfa in the second field. LOL
  9. TFW I told my Wife I was in the middle of the active shooter incident in South Nashville the other day and she asked me if I was the shooter. I love that woman. TFW told my boss what was going on and she asked me if I knew it wasn't bring your gun to work day. A coworkers car was totaled out about 8 months ago in a shoot out when 4 guys tried to car jack him and shot up his car. He returned fire, but was conservative with his rounds. He just didn't think it was that big of a deal. LOL
  10. TWF I got all of my soil samples done today. TFW I got the name of the farm registered. TFW the rest of the seed is on the way. TFW the Wife said goats
  11. For me, I have a hard time thinking of a government agency that doesn't have my fingerprints. My Wife is in the same boat unfortunately.
  12. I do a lot of traveling with NFA and I always carry a copy of my stamps. I've never been asked for them in the last 20 years, but I will continue to carry them.
  13. Boots on the outside of their pants?
  14. Funny story. I have to translate back and forth between thick Indian accent and Southern dialect. I've done this for Chinese and Korean. Never was good at Chinese. The Indian guys find it hilarious because of how well it works. It was always odd for me because it could be viewed as not politically correct, but when 30 people are speaking the same language and they can understand one another what are you going to do? It's funny to see them light up when I understand what they are saying the first time we talk. It never fails though. I end up having to say dowg instead of dog for all their coworkers .
  15. What does that cost? No,......stop it.....do want...!
  16. New bit of information came in. May get the best of both worlds. Fingers crossed.
  17. Most likely I'd be working a shift at the location and have a terminal at home for trouble shooting during off hours. Each interaction after hours would generate a set amount of overtime unless it takes more than that amount of time to fix. If it takes longer than that, people will be on airplanes flying in to "help". There would be 4 people working the same job so we have 24/360 coverage, but they would end up calling me on anything big that the small stuff. At the moment, there are two of us that do my job within 480 miles. I was handed an asset 3 days ago. Something I'd never seen or worked with before. The job was to figure out how it worked, redesign it for a different application, and send the specs of to the manufacturer so they could make them for us. I'd miss that kind of stuff. The job title and pay scale are the same, but it's not the same job. It may be fantastic. It's just the unknown and being lock into a position.
  18. Close. It's an upgrade to a semi automated system that requires less human interaction. It does require one specific job that I'm qualified for. If there is an incident, it will get the same news coverage as an airplane crash. We also have a habit of fast cars, fast bikes, and loose woman. Depending on the job you're in, you could be living in two different places a few hundred miles away from each other. Guys do crazy things. My drugs of choice are guns and fast cars.
  19. This is all within the same company. The retirement is fantastic and worth more than the pay. Even after my death, my Wife will be well taken care of. Nongovernmental job, so no tax dollars.
  20. I should start an odd S$%t that I've seen thread. LOL
  21. Well, I have no way around the stress. We average 3 years after retirement. One of the highest divorce rates in the country. Very high alcoholism rates. I've watched multiple guys self destruct at work and can't come back. They do throw money at you. It's not for everyone. I really should write a book, but no one would believe it.
  22. Would you allow yourself to be placed in a position where you were always inside alone connected to the world by computers and a big radio? The potential to make more money is there, but requires some union involvement. Something I always avoid because the union I'm required to belong to sucks. It also means I can work from home some because geographical location is irrelevant. (This could be axed at any moment) I could live in New Zealand as long as I have internet. I'm indifferent to this position. Option two is to do what I'm doing and support the other position when I'm needed to help the people doing that job. I will make more money doing that, but not as much. I will however get out and about and do something different every day. I may have to force the issue to get this done, but I like it better. The difference in pay could be between 5k and 15k between the two. I'm in a position of knowing how to do something very few people know how to do and I've been given a long leash because of it. It's kinda come back to bite me.
  23. My sabotless smokeless muzzleloader laughs and cries about this.
  24. Something like this.
