  1. I'm really thinking about wearing a hazmat suit around town. I really want to point at random strangers and say " sir, you're going to have to come with us"
  2. I found a new groundhog hole this weekend. I doesn't seem to matter how many I shoot, I always have one more messing things up. I told my boys that every groundhog they tell me about that I can get shot on, I'll give them $5. I got to hammer some after that.
  3. The blue ones look good. One at Wyatt Johnson Ford this morning.
  4. They dropped one off in Columbia on Monday.
  5. Last time I went through Memphis we detoured around the bridge. My buddy was driving and he tried to take a better route then everyone one else. Next thing I know he's looking at my handgun and said " HEY,...CHAMBER A ROUND IN THAT M/FER". I laughed my azz off as I chambered a round. The multi millionaire in the back seat was not happy and didn't understand why I was so amused.
  6. 123gr .311 from a 1953 ak47. You can tell from the twist rate.
  7. You are free to take all the meat you want. Most of them get plowed back into the ground. They are usually piled up in the field and the farmers are notified. We have brought some home, but think of them as 200 lb coyotes.
  8. The guys in South Carolina keep trying to get me to put in for gator tags.
  9. It's paid. $250 a night if you have your own equipment. $300 if you use his. I've hunted private land that was free. It was a small airport that was having problems. We killed 17 in about 20 minutes, but that was it for that trip. They were happy. If you have never hunted at night, I strongly suggest you go with an outfitter first. At the very least don't go alone. It's a very different type of hunting. They keep an eye on you a try and keep you out of trouble. This time of year I hunt about 3 to 4 days a week at night on depredation permits. We pass up a lot of shots due to shooting vectors in relation to houses. We hunt with T4 outfitters in Texas. They have access to 46k acres. No high fence. They even offer knife hunting. We are currently looking at a few others. Hog swat is in South Georgia and will give you a bunch of options. We've had people offer to pay us if we'll come kill hogs.
  10. I hate to say it, but being the father of a blind child as afforded me the opportunity to really mess with some people.
  11. I caught a 7.62x39 once. I have the groove in my skull to prove it. It hurts from time to time. Went between my skin and skull. I've always looked at an AK with suspension after that.
  12. I shot a guy at 1000 yards once. Hit a spindle on a spotter. The bullet was deflected I believe more than once and hit the guy. He picked the bullet up off the ground at his feet and it gave him a nice burn. He brought me the spotter and the bullet. Luckily no skin was broken. I still have them both. 180 7mm @ 3050. 1830ish at 1k.
  13. To be fair, he didn't put a price limit on it. It would be funny to see that scope on that rifle. I've seen you run a 10k+ rifle by the way.
  14. https://outdoorsmans.com/products/swarovski-ds-gen-ii-5-25x52-p
  15. Slow Burn was enjoyable also.
  16. When I was 14ish I picked a bunch of blackberries and forgot them in the basement. A few weeks later and with a strong alcohol smell emanating from the basement, I had some explaining to do.
  17. I have one field of peas that are gone. Deer got all of them. Second field is waist high, well most of it. My corn didn't germinate like it should. I've got about 1/2 of what I planted. Got to get a two row corn planter. May do 4 acres of peas next year. I am interested in seeing how the Egyptian wheat does this year though.
  18. From someone who carries a suppressed AR 10 through a lobby of a motel 5 or 6 times a year, this seems alien to me. To be honest, I usually only have 250-300 rounds on me. The funniest moment was when I was covered head to toe with blood at a Denny's with a white buddy of mine at 3:00 am. We were talking to a black couple for an hour about everything. Great people and great waitress. Not one person batted an eye or asked what the hell was going on. GOD BLESS TEXAS.
  19. I'm trying to talk myself out of a 6mm creedmoor.
  20. https://turboant.com/products/turboant-thunder-t1-fat-tire-electric-bike?gclid=Cj0KCQjwxJqHBhC4ARIsAChq4asOTDb6JRu7EgoOavGCFYvmb5hLYIpSGtImo3AMG0DcAzeBfMe9sQMaAgByEALw_wcB
  21. My house gun is a 9.25 inch 300 blackout. I run a short suppressor and 110 nosler varmageddon. Most any varmint type bullet will work as long as you gun likes them.
  22. DVRs for thermals are anywhere between $350 and $400. That doesn't include the cable. Cheap cables are $65. I've seen them in the hundreds of dollars. I have the parts to make my own. This may be a disaster. LOL. tomorrow I install a really small microphone on to the dvr chip and wire the cable. Gotta have sound. If it works out, it'll be crazy cheap. The hard part will be converting my 3d printer over to ABS.
