You have to put the lingth in the appropriate box. If you're from TN and never purchase a gun while living in a different state or don't own NFA, than none of your guns are registered. You would have had take extra steps to make that happen. You used to be able to register guns at the courthouse years ago. Doesn't have to be registered to you. After you SBS it, it will be. You may however put it back to its original configuration and have it removed from the registry if you so desire

LOL The guy is a magnet. We walked up on a 200 lb pig that wasn't moving. He grabbed it's ear because he wanted to look at the teeth. Problem was the pig had some life in him. The pig threw it's head up and tried to cut my buddy. He let go and fell backwards. I put two rounds into it point blank. The whole thing took less than 5 seconds. At night, "most" of the time a pig charging is unintentional. They don't know where we are and they are just running in all directions. If a pig is running at us and makes it past a certain point, we can't shoot it and we have let it pass between us. It's happened more than once. Always baby pigs. Large pigs get called out and everyone is shooting at that hog. Except the new guys....their job is to not shoot us. The guide in usually behind that guy with his hands up ready to grab the gun or the guy for safety reasons. We also try and keep new guy between us so they are somewhat boxed in a bit.

Kinda interested in this as well.

Sorry I missed this. The answer is...it depends... I have a buddy that kills all of his domestic pigs with a 22 LR. We are talking 500 ️ lb pigs, but I would call the 22 a great pig cartridge. I've seen 200 lbs hogs taking a solid lung shot from a 200 gr 338 bullet from a 338 fed and have plenty of fight left in him. I do consider the 338 federal to be an excellent hog round. It all depends on how you are hunting. If you are hunting 1 hog, hunting it like a deer, and make a decent head/neck shot than a 300 blackout works fantastic. I doesn't matter how big the hog is if you have proper shot placement. If you are trying to kill as many hogs as possible, it's not great. Especially if you don't have backup. The problem is hitting running hogs. Your just not good at it if you don't practice shooting running things. If we are running multiple shooters, the guys running 5.56 and 300 blackout fill a different role. We all make head/neck shots on our first shot. The 5.56/300 guy have about twice the rate of fire. (Not including the m16) After the first shot, the 5.56/300 guys job is to put rounds on targets. The 308s and 338 put the pigs down and keep everyone safe from pigs running at us. It's mass chaos every time. We have had guy forget to shoot. 30 pigs and a guy never pulls the trigger because so many targets are running in every direction. If you want to use the 300, it'll work in the correct situations. Just not eradication. My buddy had a 300 lbish hog charge him. He was running a 300. He was cranking out rounds as fast as he could and the pig wouldn't go down. After he yelled for a bit and I chuckled a bit, I put a 308 round into it and dropped it in front of him. He never took it again.

Questions on Building a SBR on the AR platform

You can fill out the form for temporary move. The form can be set up for 1 year at a time. Just send them in every year. Most people don't do it though. I haven't found one case where someone with a form 1 got into any trouble for not having it. You are supposed to fill it out if you move from one house to another across town for all NFA. Guess what.....most people don't do this either. I actually do in that case. Most new NFA people have the fear that every time they take out an ATF regulated gun, people are going to come out of the woodwork and demand you paperwork. In 25 years of NFA not once have I had it happen. Just keep a copy of your forms in every vehicle you own and you'll be good. -
Not really loaded. I think that non-Christians sometimes assume everyone they disagree with is a Christian. It's almost like a poke in the chest. A lot of Christians don't realize you can be a good moral person without being a Christian. I've never really understood why some people dislike Jewish people either. I've never met someone that was Jewish that I disliked as a person. However my morality may not be the norm for a Christian or non-Christian and that's okay with me. I will continue to treat people of faith with respect until that person proves to be unworthy of that respect. My Wife happens to be a Christian. I adore and admire her with all my heart, but I just can't believe what I don't believe and I do not have the right to demand She change her beliefs.
-
Off subject, but how do you guys know someone's a Christian? I'm no one. So is there a secret handshake or something? I guess I've never looked for signs. I have zero issues with someone having religion unless that religion tells them to kill me. Just curious. I hear this a lot.

I have a picture of the thing that wants to try......, but.......uhammm...welll....

You can also form 1 the receiver without any of the other parts. If you want to save money and get the "good" parts as they become available. Your OAL part of the form 1 gets interesting as far as figuring it out, but that's not a big deal either. -

You can change it all you want as long as you can put it back to its original configuration. If you decide you hate the original configuration, you can permanently change it and put in a change letter to the ATF. The lower cannot be changed out. -
You'll need to at least neck size unless you've got it setup as a fitted case. That's not something a new reloader should ever try. I have a wildcat chamber that has used the same Lapua brass for 13 loadings.
-
It depends on the chamber and how hot your load is. If the oal is good, it'll go. After you resize it, check again. Most case growth will happen in the resizing
-
It's not hard. A bedding kit and a dremel will look good. Use clay for the locks and release agent.

LOL Memphis...... Everyone's a bad ass until they have to ride through the bad areas of Memphis.

Need ideas for an AR build...what's your style?
Alleycat72 replied to mamcdonald's topic in Long Guns
It depends on the intended use. I tend to run 18" or 9.5" ARs. All suppressed. My home protection gun is a 9.25 inch 300 blackout SBR. I've killed enough deer and hogs to know what it's capable of. If I'm not shooting inside a structure, I run an 18" every time. The majority of my triggers are triggertech. -
I may be able to get some. Let me check

I'm at 3 weeks on a form 1 e-form. I guess I'll see in the 1 month quote is true.

So there was this one time we were were all having a few drinks in a city in the US. We were headed out and encountered two drug dealers. That were aggressively marketing their product. I had a spirited discussion with them about selling drugs to kids. If I hadn't been drinking, I would have realized they were police officers sooner. We all decided to pretend it didn't happen. I've never seen a cop's eyes get so big.
-
I've been using trailboss in the 12.5 inch gun, but 220 gr is as heavy as I can go before I start a compressed load. I need some VV N32C if anyone has some they are not using. What to run the 305 gr 308 bullets in this gun.
-
I know a place you can spear hunt them. LOL
